I thought the whole point was to make clever use of "costume coordination prowess".

I'm disappointed as well, you weren't supposed to do any editing, and cropping is editing. :/

What annoyed me is that I took at least a dozen of each screenshot trying to get the pose, lighting, and setting right before narrowing it down to one.

Where as other people (including some of the finalists) posted multiple pictures of theirs. Heck some of the finalists it wasn't even their first pic that was listed above. To me one entry means one.

Yup, that's what bugs me most. I had several ideas, but I picked one; the fact that you're only allowed one screenshot by the rules means you have to make the decision; but what you like might not be what the judges like. People submitting multiple pictures get to flood the contest and let the judges decide which one caters to their taste.

I don't understand some of theese pictures either, how they were allowed in the contest at all. Trion, better stay true to your rules next time.

Ya sorta disappointed. I followed the rules and even though it took me a while to get the pic I wanted it was rule following.
    Have you ever wanted to?

Trion Love me lots, give me more slots

Yeah i must say thast complete BS. 30% of the screenshot you cant even see the character legs and feets, another 30% they are using basic wardrobe without mixing stuff.

Next time trion, just say you dont care about the wardrobe and that you want some nice screenshots.....

Oh Moon... I remember fighting with you all over AB on Darktide. I never thought I'd see the day were you would be upset over screenshots and character wardrobes. Oh how times have changes.

It really is unfortunate they decided to punish those of us who actually paid attention and followed the rules they personally set out. Pretty disappointed in that regard.

It was a little frustrating seeing landscape/glitches and generic outfit winning out over inventive costumes, which I thought were more of a focus then scenery. But that's fine, the rules mentioned location as well. What really gets me is they gave us all these rules to follow, people broke them, and now the same people are getting rewards from it over people who did it by the book, the fair and right way.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I specifically had winning entries by any means. But many people followed the rules because they wanted to play by them, agonized over which specific shot, which specific angle, and which minutely tweaked costume they wanted to submit, because the rules specifically said that only ONE ENTRY was allowed per category. How are we supposed to feel when we find out people who *blatantly broke the rules* got selected for prizes?

Why did we put all that effort in to follow rules that Trion just turned around and let people break? And if you're going to amend the rules (by allowing things like cropping, which is explicitly forbidden in the original rules when it says no alternations), then please actually AMEND the rules, not leave the correction buried in the forums.

I'm really not too bitter, it was fun overall, just disappointing and inexcusable for them to give rulebreakers an advantage over people who agonized over doing it right because they wanted to be FAIR by everyone.

I agree, makes you wonder why bother with any other competition here in the future. Where is the fun if you can just submit whatever "unrelated" picture you want, breaking say around five of the competition rules and still win the grand prize?

I can understand messing with the position of your character (for the sake of composition in the screenshot, meaning you don't always get the full body), I'm just upset that cropped screenshots (editing) and people who submitted multiple entries to a single category got chosen as finalists when those break the clearly listed rules. :/

Actually, life is all about following rules, so I have no idea what you're trying to say here.

Yeah. Mad that I bothered trying to assemble the perfect balance of costume, scenery, lighting, and pose when apparently one of the hundreds of screenshots my cats take when walking across the keyboard would have sufficed.
