This game is definitely growing, I was just thinking how awesome it would be to have a mobile droid app that notifies me when im at the store or car wash and will be home in the next half hour to an hour when a world event opens up so I can jump on when I get home I really enjoy when a big clusterfk event happens and everyone gets on the same team and goes and stomps heads.

Rather than adding more raids (since I don't raid), I'd really like to see new 5-man dungeons along with their corresponding expert versions. I've run the existing ones with groups and we have gotten our greatest enjoyment from the game thus far in doing that.

Crafting dailies serve no point after a while. My outfitter has all the recipes they offer and has been that way for weeks. Now what? I just put mats up on the AH now.

Warfronts... well, I can't say I play the game for PvP but I did enjoy Black Garden and Codex. Whitefall... not so much. It seems like the warfronts just get boring after 30. I tried out Port Scion and didn't like it at all. To be honest, this is in part because I had stopped doing PvP some 15 levels before (because it was just the same 3 warfronts) and therefore was out of practice for it. A few more varied and interesting warfronts would go a long way towards re-kindling interest for folks. (most likely not for my 3 level 50s -- they're done with it)

edit: the "out of game" stuff seems like wasted effort to me. I guess at least some other people get something out of it though.

I loved every sentence of that post. I don't PVP, so that doesn't make me happy, but it sounds like it will give my PVP crazed guild mates something to do.

However, everything else on that list sounded FAN-tastic to me. I continue to believe that RIFT is the best designed MMO out there. Since turning 50, I've had a blast doing all sorts of new things, but I can see where I will eventually run out of stuff to do. So I'm leveling an alt, which is cool also. But this post gives me reason to believe life after 50 will continue and only get better.

And you know what? I believe I _am_ a fanboy. Heh. I'd be happy to give reasons for the things I feel about the game, but there is no doubt that I am a great fan of the work Trion has done and I consider my subscription to be money well spent. I am highly entertained by RIFT.

Think about the impact on smallish guilds of people being able to use guild chat when not logged in to the game proper. Serious win potential here.
You can play WoW in any MMO. You don't have to play WoW in RIFT. Oh, and no, RIFT is not a WoW clone. Not having fun any more? Learn to play, noob! I don't speak for Riftui, but I moderate stuff there. Got ideas for improving the RIFT community? Feel free to PM me. Just came back? Welcome back! Here's what's changed. (NOTE NEW URL)

Not true with Trion look back at some othe the other state of the game addresses all of it has been put into the game. Not all of it lasted because some of the changes were not right but they did what they said they would do.

Hi Scott. Completely get the intent here, however some possibly unforeseen issues:

    - Some classes such as my Warrior, buy other classes PvP items including weapons, rings and even armor in some cases. Hopefully your team can devise a way to make those items available to be exchanged for whichever PvP piece is best suited at P7 and 8. Maybe just have the new gear require generic tokes like "Rank 6 Chest Piece" and "Rank 5 Ring"?

    - The favor cap could use extending. If I need to turn in armor I'm currently using to get new armor, I need to wait til I can use the new armor. So going from rank 6-7 I believe will put me over cap if I cant dump it anywhere. This likely only effects a very few players who have everything of which I am not one, but know several.

I am looking forward to updates and new stuff, and it is nice to hear some communication again on where the game is headed and what you all have in store for us.

Thank you very much for posting, and it gives me hope that the game is still headed in a good direction.

    PS: More communication = good.

i hope you remove the achievement "kill X player in the X zone"
its a very ridiculous achievement for lowbies a genocide by 50s, and for ppl who just started gear up

He's been posting information quite regularly. If you took your head out of your backside you would see that.

You must pve more than you pvp.

I think fishing in Rift was already planned from the start. We just have to be a bit more patient. In the mean time have a look at the fishing pole icons from Rift. http://www.riftzone.nl/

Some of the changes listed here sound very promising. Still bummed about cross server LFD and the anti social effect it had on WoW.

As far as challenge and fun goes , STILL when I play on alts there are lvl 50s almost always zerging the Rifts and bosses. Not my idea of fun and I don't see that as challenging ether.

Take the wardstone for a particular town, you own the town. Other side wants it back, come take it back. That is all they needed to do to promote open field/world pvp and yet were somehow able to completely miss it.

Instead we have pve for pvp dailies and a kill 25 guardians daily.

Scion is a scam too, it might as well be a pve instance. I logged in yesterday and took part in 2 Scions in a row where no one faught basically. In one of them the total combined kill count for both sides was 20 and the wf was over as a boss had died.

    I logged out in disgust.

Scion has always had too much pve - too many npcs, too many guards, and it could be won, as it typically is now, without much pvp fighting taking place.

Where is open world Scion? Though if it is going to be an NPC laden piece of crap like the wf is you can do me a favor and just keep it. But, if it is going to be a zone for pvp with objectives like a keep or town capture (that is not on a cool down timer) then count me in.

I like Rift a lot but sadly find myself logging in less and less because every single change, even those that attempt to promote pvp, end up being pve laden piles of steaming crap.

PvP is easy to do. Trion, and Hartsman in particular during the beta events, sounded like they knew how to do it, but since going live they have proven they do not.

Makes me a little sad as overall it is a good game that could be great, for both crowds (pve and pvp) but as of now slants far too heavily towards one side.
I agree evey Wardstone should matter more than they do. To add more to what you say, once someone takes an enemies wardstone, lets say a Defiant takes a Guard wardstone, a few elite Defiant guards should appear with a new Defiant Wardstone on a Guard area. This way people need to protect their wardstones, and wardstones would then matter.
