    Default Rift

So far what I have seen of Rift is amazing! The game is very nice, It's detailed and smooth. It is like a mix of Aion, World of Warcraft, and Oblivion, but much much better. I hope to see more great things coming from this game. I'm sure there is much more work to be done on this mmo but I can't wait to see the game put on the market I hope that it will not be pushed back. I would love to buy it. I have just left Aion not so long ago and I think this will be much better I hope to see more videos and images on this game.

Oblivion? Really? Sorry that made me chuckle.

In all honestly, I think Rift will be lucky to get even close to the numbers Aion had/has. I also predict it will lose a large portion of its initial buyers by the dreaded third month mark.

Aion was the typical Korean grindfest. Rift isn't a short-term game, bud.

And it also has over 3 million subscribers internationally. The whole purpose of grind is to keep players engaged longer, aka slow down the pace. So if you are saying Rift isnt a short term game, then how is that different from Aion, which wasnt either?
Aion featured some fairly bad design choices which hurt it in the western market. Rift on the other hand will have trouble appealing to those outside the western market, and in addition, might not even have what it takes to hold the attention span of the fickle western market to begin with.

This is a market over saturated with generic mmorpgs. Rift is no exception...it is defined as pure genericness! The over saturated status of the market and type of game Rift is ensures it will be hit with the same pattern as the rest.

    I'm being realistic here.
