Shard are locked after update

I just updated by the shards are LOCKED ... anyone know why?

They are locked since work is not complete on server side.

this has been a growing trend in this game. The servers being down alot has become a problem. last week it was 3 days they took them down. two of those days was for plus 2 hours and one was for at leat 30 minutes.

Why post before even looking at the "News and Announcements" section of the forums.

There is a thread for each downtime with information posted every 15 minutes on progress.

Last week was server hardware upgrades, it was announced and planned and had a thread.
