I knew it. I shoulda bet people money that Trion would come out and say what happened and not cover it up.

Every time people tell me that Trion will not be awesome, I should bet against them. I would be rich by now.

There are those of us who had faith all along that TRION would do this, they have always communicated with us in the past and continue to prove it every single time there is an issue. Again a thank you to those who helped, MWDP and others, including yourself seebs for keeping at it.

I have my doubts this will silence those who continue to badmouth TRION when they don't get an answer to their questions and/or problems immediately, but there isn't much you can do about them other than point to threads like these to prove them wrong.

As to those who trolled everyone claiming it was their error, while they aren't completely wrong in that there are and will continue to be people being "hacked" by the usual methods, there was no need to post with such vitriol and scorn towards those unfortunate enough to be the victims in this case, but I wouldn't hold my breath for an apology as you know trolls will be trolls.

Besides the good work done by Trion (!!), I'm actually surprised that Rift is a target for such extreme hacking measures like botnets. I guess the (Internet-)world has indeed changed a lot in the last few years. But maybe it should be considered a compliment for Trion that their game is such a large target. Or should I think a bit more nefarious and suspect the 'competition'?

I would love to see another well known MMO come out and admit to the player base that they were in the wrong. I'm glad I gave this game a shot and this will definitely increase the amount of loyalty I have toward thus game and all things Trion. Ty manwitdaplan for making the info available to Trion and it is good to see that Trion was willing to work with a player and not just dismissing them and the information they were willing to share. I am now a Rift lifer and will be here until they shut the servers down. I for one can't to see what Trion has in store for this game!
