    well, i just lost about 125P tonight, that's real suck. not sure it was a bug or account hacked. It is my first time to get account hacked for last 12 years in mmo game.

    I'm glad to see this in place, actually. I haven't had any problems... *knocks on wood for good luck!* ...but I feel a bit safer knowing that these things are in place. Thanks!

    Hopefully the authenticator won't be only for cellphones, though? I don't have any net or txt access on my cell and I'm not able to get either of those things any time in the foreseeable future. I'd like an authenticator that I can have mailed to me at my physical address or something like that.

    Props to Trion for ignoring the ticket that I put in when I noticed my first character had been cleaned out long enough for them to come back 24 hours later and clean out the rest.

    The way that you did nothing, instead of doing even the most trivial act such as locking the account was first class all the way.

    Default Hacked acct

    I reported my account being hacked 17 hrs ago and I have not even received an acknowlegement of same. This has completely screwed my prime weekend playing time and I am quite interested in how Trion intends to resolve the issue. I like Rift but there are alternatives if I don't have some kind of response soon.

    Umm well I got that email 3 days after I put in my support ticket and took another 24 hours ot get it resolved. Yeah I know not too good, but of course like I said I wans't a hacked account so I understood I was a much lower priority. I would expect those who do get hacked to get a faster than 4 day fix time.

    Well props for trying but 2/3 level login tiers wont stop the hackers. Atlantica Online has a similar system of authentication, even making a 3rd level login when your IP changes but it doesn't stop the hackers.

    This was actually allready answered in Abigale's post.

    We're also working on the addition of two-factor authentication at the login level, which will let you use an app or a cell phone as a way to ensure that you're the one logging on. (You may have heard of this in other products as a SecurID or an Authenticator.) We'll be sharing specifics on that as soon as we can as well.
    I think it's funny that a few people in this thread suggest or ask about authenticators in a way it becomes clear they either didn't read or didn't comprehend the OP.
