So, just to be safe, as an educated CONSUMER, you think I'd begin trusting the US government despite the head of state being changed every 4 years? Because they said "Trust Us"?

Hey, Ill use the sites if they are available- I just will not loosen my security or allow the advertising/hit counting for revenue to take place when I visit. All it takes is one slip of the malware ad on any site to ruin my day.

    Aint happening.

So now you are agreeing that there could be malware on this site? Diligence is exactly what I was trying to send home to you. Being diligent and aware of the potential for malware/viruses was what I was the point I was trying to make in informing people of what I saw.

I'm not even sure at this point if your previous posts were trolls or not.

Be diligent, update your ad blocker, update your anti-malware, you too are a winner!

Exactly. I'm surprised how many people out there don't know about/bother with plugging *possible* loopholes in their security- they leave it up to 1 click software installs and wonder why they get beat down when they complain about being "hacked" or "compromised".

If you want to explore some, use Firefox, noscript, adblock plus, and ghostery. (Not a total solution but pretty secure)

Bounce around to a few sites. Use ghostery to NUKE all the advertising scripts and you'll be surprised how clean your internet experience becomes. If advertisers are serious, advertise on television, where I wont see it, you arent giving it to me on MY internet.

Brock Pierce, one of the two founders of IGE, is still listed on the board of Affinity Media and ZAM. I personally will not got to a site associated with this man. I understand that a person can change. However, I would have expected IGE to be shut down, rather than sold, if he had a change of heart.

I sourced this from his own words. If this is no longer correct, I would like to see credible proof.

Some newer adblocks that are coming out will block known bad ads (virus ones). Wowhead has a good ad track record. I hope for the same here.

Now I just hope the database community become elitist like wowhead did.

    Good luck Zam. Can't wait.

I dunno, I tend to assume people like that are purely mercenary, and I don't really find anything surprising about the idea that he'd sell off the business and do something else if it turned out to be a good idea.

Hey I didn't know about ghostery thanks. I was only using noscript and adblock plus.

ZAM get all database information? Even i'm trying to get every artifact ingame for http://mrdummy.net/riftworldmap/?

It's good that you can get database, but because i work also much for my site, i feel little punched by ZAM because they get everything from Trion. Then i should ask Trion for the share.
Because i want that database too.

Think about other people who do much work for own database sites, and now ZAM owned everone to make another sites useless because they get all from Trion? All people goes to ZAM site. It's nice but also not nice. Please be careful with such information, ZAM. Don't punch others too much.
    Thank you.

Hey mrdummy - everyone has access to the same information we do. Check out the link in my OP. Good luck with the artifact stuff.

Thanks, but i'm only collecting artifact locations. Not the artifact quests.
My site is purely made for locations on map. That is why my site has many icons for locations, but no quest database.

I don't see the location database or I have not seen your location database

I used to use allakhazam a lot for DAoC. It was really nice. Recently, however, when I go to their site for other games, something happens to my system and it starts to drag. I have to reboot to fix it. I use Firefox to browse along with Forcefield and OpenDNS for on-the-fly protection. I also have Norton Internet Security and Malwarebytes which I use to regularly scan my system.

While I personally have not been infected with any malicious malware, I would sincerely hope that the new ZAM site administrators will do everything possible to protect their users from hidden bugs in the ads that appear on their site.
