You'll notice that that was a typo'd quote. I was also curious how you copy a meter. Thanks for proving my point and showing that you are just being snide by agreeing with me unknowingly.
And you have been very wrong. Mostly due to your ignorance on basic word definitions.
Wow, now he is stating that his opinions and other's opinions are facts.
He keeps proving me wrong, because I keep thinking he can't make himself look any more ridiculous.
So now I am agreeing with you unknowingly?
LOLOLOL
You're beginning to proceed to insults on my character. Usually the first sign of when someone is getting annoyed that they can't win an argument.
Since you are becoming irrational about your discussion. I'm done with you now. Dismissed.

I'm not exactly sure how I insulted your character, but I'm starting to think that you really do not understand the things you type. Well, it was fun. Next time you try to have a discussion I'm sure everyone would appreciate it if you would try and make sense.
And saying what is more or less beneficial is pure conjecture. You have zero way of saying one way or the other, as all you have are anecdotes from a very small selection of players. Once again, rational thought escapes you.

Since a load of people are throwing in their opinion on this topic .. here is mine on DPS meters;
I just want a simple little box that shows my dps and resets on each mob i fight as a level. Just 1 number in the corner so i can see my strength grow as I level and get better gear and weapons. Also testing out new builds.. especially since there will be a crazy amount of build combinations. I cant alway get a clear idea by the floating combat text since you'd have to account for cast time of different spells and dots etc. If rift had this simple thing built in that people could turn on or off.. i'd be a happy camper. In other games it has been a good motivator for me to advance.
And as for the full blown DPS logger add ons that graph show what the whole raid is doing. I could live with or without that. Just whatever my guild was doing. It seems like some people are a little too caught up in the "up hill both ways in the snow" "good Ole days". Options and advancements are always good in my book. If its there you can use it, or turn it off, individually, or as a whole guild.

if any issue i have now days, it is the crazy requirements ppl ask for when u want to join a raid, if everyone ask that, how would i get the damn gear to begin with, and when they take u naked they keep makin fun of ur dps and kick you, even when u do ur role perfectly espically with cc to save their ***
Honesty looking at the classes, I think DPS is only going to be a very small part of story in this game, DPS meters only tell you a very small part of the story, would prefer parsers which give full info about healing, dps, interrupts, cc etc. But to be honest we have to wait and see what we given access to. It's entirely possible we won't have access to any combat logs or anything, which would be an interesting reaction to all this.
I'm stealing this from bc, with a twist
