So instead of fixing the problems in your raid RIGHT AWAY, you prefer to look at the problems after you wipe?

The same people, with a parser or meter, would make the same mistake, but with a meter, a RL can remind them and correct it instantaneously.

People who only stares at meters will still be axxxoles without the meters. People who can well utilize the meters will still perform good without the meters because they actually use their brain. Meters make the work less tedious.

They are both downloaded from third party sites, they both take one or two steps to install correctly, and they both have the same tools to use and things they can track.
    1) We're talking meters potentially in game from Trion, 2) we're talking about items that are part of a vast range of things that attract attention and have lovely little shopping carts to go with them.

Curse client makes it so I can manage every game they support and one-click add things after finding them by popularity, keywords, etc.

I really can't believe you're trying to argue this point. You're smarter than that.

games should do some things to cater to the majority.. and to what is popular.. not those in the other group unless its a niche game.

I enjoy actually being capable of death, I don't want a program to further eliminate my chances of death. (Which meters do)

It sounds to me like you forgot that meters reduce your chances of death. Which is an example of a meter playing the game for you.

When you exclude a minority, you don't have a fair compromise. Which proves my point entirely you're selfish.

If we're talking about meters being included with the game by default, then yes. This conversation has been about in-game meters of any type though, especially addons.

Did you buy Call of Duty: Black-Ops?

Just trying to see if you're one of the people willing to fork out console prices for sub-par gameplay because Treyarch is busy recycling gameplay.

It's about all of the above, and my point still stands with number 2. You can't dispute how easy it is to get an addon compared to how easy it is to get a single 3rd party app. The level of magnitude is vastly disparate, and I am positive that you're aware of that and arguing the point just for the hell of it.

your to preoccupied with fairness... growing up is needed.. life and gaming aint fair.. sometimes you cant please the majority and the minority so you pick the larger of the two.

    No, we are arguing accuracy.

Meters try skew the data by guesstimating, parsers show you flat out what happened on the log.

Recount also has a blurry line between what DPS is and just dividing numbers by seconds.

Bad company 2 is a better game.

No, "meters" do not do this. Specific ones might. Other meters will do exactly what a parser does- at the end of the fight, everyone's displayed DPS will straight up be Damage Done / Time Elapsed.

This thread is a contested open world PVP raid boss encounter. You have multiple guilds fighting over it, plus groups, trios, duos, and even soloers popping in and out of the battle.

Who will win? What will the raid boss drop? Will there be a complete wipe? Will the zone crash? Fun, fun fun!!!

168 PAGES, 4DAYS, AND RISING!!! GO THREAD GO!!!!!
