I don't know about the rest of them, but tabasco refers to Tabasco sauce.
Gloamwood Pines seems to be filled with Loggers. Or is that Lagers?
Waykeepers: Kors, Boosh, Hamnz, Keiston, Anstel, and Kilyan.
One of the Sanctum auctioneers is Elan Greenhilt, a merged reference to two characters in the Order of the Stick webcomic.
are you kidding?!!?@!@? You do realize there were games before WoW right? there were even MMO's before WoW, and pretty much EVERY mmo i've ever played had pop culture references. Hell back in my Mud/text based BBS game days the games had pop culture references. In fact I would say MORE games have pop culture references than those that do not. and considering pop culture references refer to those things that are POPULAR (thus the name) that would lend itself to repeating similar references in some (if not many many) games.
3 squirrels(i think?) outside meridian named Tobasco, something and something. i dont remember the names. clearly a reference to something i dont get though
Regarding pop culture references, the Elf male dance is the hilarious Jean Claude Van Damme "American Dance". I think it's from Karate Tiger or some other low budget MA movie.
