Many players are still stuck with the same grinding dungeons from a year ago. The gear and dps requirements alone keep most players from even doing much in HK. The new raids from the last update are seen by few, but this game seems to be more interested in the hard core raiders.
We are a causal guild and one of the largest on Wolfsbane which raids and trains new people in HK,etc. Times are tuff and our players have jobs, college and jobs, and some have more then one job so play time is limited.
Something is wrong when a game forgets the majority of the players. Example is in game the chat was a guild offering a full run through of HK for players for $1000 plat! The guild who offered this does little else but raiding and have the best gear in the game.
So when they advertise the new dungeons and raids it mean little to the majority. We are losing players to other games. They say they pay the same and want to be able to do something new besdies grinding.
I wouldn't say that HK is by any means hard at all at this point. With King Boss Mods even a new player can learn an encounter in 1-2 youtube video and about an hour of attempts (for HK minus Aky). I don't mean to be rude, but from the pugs I've joined I think a lot of it is the general skill level of the players, I don't think a lot of these fights can be nerfed anymore without taking away all their mechanics.
They could always add brackets such as 51-53 54-56 57-59 and then lvl 60 get the new dungeons (Which there is 7 of not 2 lol).
It would just work by making the mobs lvl 53 in first bracket 56 in 2nd and so on but I agree with not making old dungeons available as lvl 60 content.
I also really doubt any gear between lvl 50 -59 is going to be better than ID gear. so yes people could still stop and play old raids for some gear whilst getting to 60. Tho i cant see many people actually not having been into one or 2 of the raids so most might skip but there is still reason.
This is where i must disagree, in order for balance to be achieved i guarantee people will be replacing most things short of ID relics, and potentially even those before 60. If this didn't happen then people would cry unfair advantage. Regardless it makes sense for the game to go in that direction, they are looking for a clean slate just like players are.
