Relic Chest Pieces using Heart of Maelforge?

We have not made it to Maelforge yet so I am only basing this off what I've heard and read. I heard there are chest pieces that drop that can be infused with The Heart of Maelforge to make a relic version.

Has anyone done this yet and can post an example of what one of the relic'd chests look like? Stats wise? I would assume it either has to have amazing stats not the typical +3 AP -2 Crit +1 End upgrades you normally see from an ID armor upgrade. Maybe even some type of magical proc.

The reason I say that is why would you ever use a heart on a chest over a weapon when weapons make 100x more significant of an improvement to your toon's output than any armor piece does. Especially with the hearts being rng but I suppose it will change a bit when its a guaranteed drop, although there are alot of weapons a raid would need to upgrade before chest which could take 30+ weeks.

I wonder if someone could win the heart from their raid and then copy over to the pts before using it to make the chest to see what its all about. Anyways, just wondering.

To my knowledge no-one has upgraded a chest yet.
The Heart has previously not been a guaranteed drop so only a few have gone out at all.
I believe several guilds intend to copy characters over to the PTS to see what the upgraded chests look like this reset.
I'm not expecting much from them, they seem to be the ultimate prestige item to me.
Once a good number of guilds have ID on farm a lot of people will have the relic weapons, but few will have been clearing long enough to upgrade the chests.
That maintains the distinction without conferring sizeable performance advantages.

See here. I will hopefully be testing the rogue dps chest tonight. Unless we spend 4 hours derping on Laethys and Maelforge, which is a distinct possibility.

As a note to others, don't be the dummy and regret it!

Before infusing your maelforge heart into your chest piece, copy your character one or two times over to PTS. Test it over there first to see the end results rather testing it on live and being unable to undo the change/upgrade as need be.
