Making jabs at the high max hit is moderately silly, given that you could front load a on-use trinket, get a couple of stacks of amop and have it pop during a wild growth pretty easily.

When voodoo was doing max possible sicaron parses, it was all in the timing / rotation of the raid buffs that were sync'd between multiple people.

I don't know mages, and I don't know where to even begin doing the math on his parses. But gawking at "zomg, look at that max hit!" is borderline absurd.

I'm not just looking at his max hit. I'm looking at his min/median/max hit. If you look at that parse, his MEDIAN combust damage is higher than Xano's MAX. This raises some flags.

Shaeyl's parses are recent, xano's parses are like a month old. Folks do get more gear. Pretty sure shaeyl has an ID MH + word of pain as well.

You people honestly expect dps records to hold through a month while progression is going on in a tier where folks are getting more geared every week?

Edit: and you're also assuming that xano has the undisputed best possible spec/rotation/raid support/rng in the fight ever... which is a whole lot of assumings to peg him as absolute best and no one else being able to ever do better. Its a little bit ridiculous.

It'd be like me saying no one will ever beat our HK clear time. Despite the fact that we wiped twice in that run and could totally have shaved off 5 minutes or so... and that's not taking into account that we had nearly no ID weapons back then.

Every other spell is basically comparable with a difference of 150-200 spell power, except Combust. I don't know offhand what the spell power ratio for combust is, but Shaeyl would need 1000 spell power over Xano to get it that high, and if he did, all the other spells would hit much harder over Xano than they do. The only plausible explanation is that he's getting the bonus from the Pyro Crystal (40% more combust damage) and Warlock crystal at the same time.

Edit: I'm not assuming Xano is the best anything. But Shaeyl's Combust is doing way more than it should and any mage that plays that spec will tell you the same.

Xano's parse was legit. and moonfire, your logic is flawed in so many ways. The more you reply, the more V wins with his idiotic troll.

the max hits come with Flaring Power and Wild growth, preloading a trinket (which Xano does) would not account for an 800 dmg difference in fireball.

Do you not see the kill time of 4:15 seconds? I feel like to achieve that amount of raid dps they are properly min/maxed.

As far as the spec is concerned it has been the same spec since 1.6? there is really only 2 points you could even try swapping into imp GOP(Its already been proven to be sub-par) and even so if he was running that his combust up time would be alot lower for 2% additive dmg...

Shaeyl does not exploit and we do not tolerate or promote exploiting in general. If you would like to argue otherwise know that I won't humor you, I'll just go over your head. We have a good relationship with your guild and I'm not interested in changing that currently, especially not over something like this.

Xano had World of Pain/conc sword...there is probably 300 spellpower left in ID upgrades for him which would not make up 700 fireball damage. LOL ignore that parse.

It's only combust damage and uptime that is seriously wrong with it. How the hell is it hitting harder than Searing Vitality with nearly identical uptime? That's literally impossible with the standard 38/28 build with lock crystal. Like others have said, it's like he has the 2pc Pyro + the 2 and 4pc Lock bonus's at the same time, which is the only explanation. Definitely not right.
