So has anyone else wondered how a warrior with the Sylvan greatsword is suppose to be useful in ID?

As an EU player I really appreciate Trion doing something to level the race for the world firsts as much as this might be an inconvenience for the US guilds it is certainly more fair than releasing the content a day earlier in the US than the EU.

That being said I would have been perfectly happy with a potentially later opening on the saturday meaning the EU players would have raided late night and allowing the US to play closer to their prime time because this would still have been an improvement on what we had for the fire wing release.

Like most my guild does not normally raid on saturdays but we will raid this saturday because we want to see the content as it opens but having to juggle our schedule to do this potentially a few times per year is hardly the end of the world and a price worth paying.

For those guilds aiming to fight for world firsts you are highly dedicated and committed gamers and I am sure most of you will make arrangements to be there for your guilds regardless of what time and day the content goes live.

For everyone else I just do not understand how this release date is so much of a huge issue the content will be open for everyone at the same time, sounds fair to me.

Like most players i give a **** about achieving world firsts . Some guilds have advantage because they can test the content before release anyway . But releasing new content for different countries at the same time is a good thing .

Gating is new for Rift. Expecting the unexpected is the natural thing to do.
Expect something new to be predictable is just a bit silly.
