I'm not too fussed about the change. If all you ever do is daily experts, it'll take ridiculous amounts of time to even buy one bit of ID gear if the per-item costs are in line with the last two tiers. Even if you do the 10 and 20 man weeklies you're still looking at a few weeks just to buy gloves, and that's if you get lucky with bonus marks on the reward.
Ultimately it's not going to help non-raiders get gear at any sensible pace, and while it might be particularly useful for people progressing through ID when they only have a couple of bosses down, it's going to be a drop in the ocean later on. I don't even take the gmarks reward any more from the current weeklies, it's barely worth it and I'd rather have the extra XP crystals. What it will be useful for is if your weekly progression leaves you just a few marks short of your next upgrade, and it allows you to get something a week earlier than normal raiding would otherwise permit.
So yeah. It might seem like a big deal now, but when you're hauling in 60+ marks a week from ID alone, you'll be begging for a better way to dump your excess marks, not moaning about how "easy" it is for casuals to earn raid gear if they just spend the next six months doing experts.
Doesn't bother me one single bit... except maybe that HK/rotp should have been the weekly quests giving infernal marks. The nerfs are placed, it's really easy now to progress without spending more then 6 hours a week in HK.
DH/GP/GSB/RoS is pretty much look at a boss and they drop the loot you need to jump up a tier. Previous tier should ease into the next one... That's what was good about the adding of weekly t1 raid quests, it eased the progression in HK alot. T1 should overlap with t2, just as these quests do.
Even if they don't it's not that big a deal. If someone runs experts and t1 raids and expect to jump into infernal dawn with t1 raid weapons and only using 1 piece of infernal dawn gear then you shouldn't really be in for a surprise. You will die.

Meh I don't know why the hardcores are QQing at this, you guys will do whatever it takes to get shard firsts world firsts blah blah blah. And if you are not with that mindset, I wouldnt refer to you as a "hardcore". In this system you have additional ways to gear up with the next tiers content faster. Doing the weekly's/dailies give a considerable amount of PA xp through completion and the marks you will receive. The 2 weekly quests combined should not take a skilled "hardcore" group more then an hour to complete. I would say Rift has beat the "hardcores" if they can't handle that extra hour. Why not complain about the PA system? Im sure that has sucked a ridiculous amount of your time into the game of Rift...and why? to give you guys an advantage...to help you get world firsts. Should Trion adhere to the small hardcore raiding community (5hours 7days per week) or try and spark interest in the larger casual community? It seems to be a common trend throughout the hardcore guilds that they raid 7 days per week only for the first 2 weeks of new content? I may be wrong. IMO you should half the amount of ID marks rewarded on completion of the weekly's and implement them 3 weeks in. A bit sooner implementation then the past, but I think it would make both groups happy?

Peanut gallery-style comments are about as equally bad at getting your way as the things we've already discussed. Do try to post actual content, or you're actually the one looking for attention.
And I see no meaningful posts by the people who don't like this change after my last relevant post, so I'll assume they're done trying.

If you are that hardcore, then, deal with it. If you're that awesome, and want to be seen as that, then you'll have to do whatever it takes. Sorry. People who ***** that others don't have to work hard enough are not allowed to whine that they themselves have to work too hard.
I've decided to stop trying to post anything resembling intelligence once Pfalcon joins a thread. Call this trolling, but I'm sure many of you are with me.

PFalcon doesn't offer any legitimate arguments, just self-righteous delusions of grandeur. He carries the torch of the Occupy movement and brings elitism to a whole new level. No longer is it acceptable to say there are hardcore raiders on a different skill level; PFalcon will tell you he and his legion of 99% are just as good, but they don't try to impress anyone. And yet, he posts 11/11 in his forum signature as a means of public credibility.
In fact, many members of the hardcore community offer a myriad of legitimate arguments when debating PFacon, but his general response is that our opinions mean nothing because we are a smaller percentage of the playerbase. How can that be considered an intelligent argument when it just shuts out certain players based on background as opposed to merit of their ideals?
Because Rift is a business, not something you're running for free on your home server.
Locking out the bigger percentage of players to preserve the egos of the smaller is bad for business.
End of story.
Edit: Also, his sig is spot on. You guys provide tuning data so Rift knows how to nerf it later for the people who actually pay for it.

No, I put 11/11 in my comment so I don't have to keep reminding you when you get it wrong in your inevitable replies. It's there primarily because of affected hardcores hitting the reply and assuming I'm a T2 player.
In all likelihood, I'm better than who I'm talking to in terms of progress. They usually forget that, seeing as how I'm almost never siding with people geared like me.
I'm not bragging. I'm just reminding you who you're talking to so you don't try to straw man any more than you already do.
