You're sorely mistaken if you think those 95% want to be the 5%. They don't want to be me or you.
If the content were better tuned to 10/11 HK guilds, it wouldn't be those players with nothing to do after they finish. They would be working hard in a zone they loved. If they tuned ID to 11/11 HK teams, it's they who would have nothing to do after Thursday when it's nothing but akylios facebashing for them, for two months.

You would be the one with nothing to do if it's tuned to 10/11 teams. They would have a great game to play. They would have nothing to do if it's tuned to 11/11 teams.

And you lose that fight. The first half of ID should be tuned to 10/11 HK guilds.

You see yourselves as these paragons of achievement that everyone strives to be and that's just not the case. When devs tune games to you, most everyone just stops caring about the game altogether and go finds something else. There aren't enough of you to beat that hand. You're bluffing. You have nothing.
I have no objection to the concept that the first few bosses in ID be killable by a Guild who is 10/11 in HK. They should have the requisite gear and skill to kill them. I mean, I don't want the first boss in ID to be as complex as Akylios. That is a level of challenge that I want to ramp up to, not begin with.

Unless they truly made WAY overtuned encounters, requiring complex mechanics over a 20+ minute fight I don't see how 10/11 Guilds couldn't kill the first few Bosses once they had learned the fight.

I have no doubt there were Guilds that didn't have GSB/RoS on farm status that killed Murdantix. But I certainly don't want ID tuned down so far that you can mostly skip HK and do that content. It should require the skill learned from doing HK as well as the gear earned to progress in it. Otherwise, the game isn't about progression, slow but continual growth, it would just be one giant loot/achievement/exp pinata. And what fun would that be, for anyone...

Side Note: I do, however, expect a good many higher end guilds to start the content, but wait for "guides" from guilds like Voodoo in order to more aggressively progress. There are very few guilds and players out there that have the time, patience and player type that is willing to beat their head against the wall of a Boss's mechanics in order to learn what all needs to be done to win it. I, for one, appreciate and applaud their efforts.

Don't make it easy. Make it fun.

Neither run anything. Their infuence doesn't trickle down. The larger forces ignore them because selling a few expensive cars isn't as powerful as selling a lot of small ones. They're niche appendages to the dominant industry.
You understand less about the car markets than you do about MMOs. Where do you think all the new features and tech are developed in cars? Answer: the high end. They are the ones who can take bleeding edge technology that can only be used to produce a max of 20K cars a year and start using it and start creating a market for it. Most of the major car companies in the world introduce and initially design their new features and technology for the high end where it is then used and spread down to the mid and low end.

You mean I can't have everything I want for a small package of sub-20k?
