Most of the time zoomancer only has 1 pet out.

I'm aware, but the whole point of this thread and why zoomancer is parsing so ridiculously high is that Plutonus in 3:16 is the perfect length to make good use of cooldowns. I still think Spotter's probably gives around 200DPS over the fight.

Yet having said that, it is still very cool to see a mage parse 2.3k even though it is a statistical outlier.

    Big numbarz!

TBH if you sacrifice one mage to boost 2 other mage's DPS like that, and take the average DPS of the 3 you're somewhere around 2000 DPS per mage, which is... right around where most of your melee are! Not counting the Static Discharge buff lady.
But it's cool to show up at the #1 spot once in a while even if it's just because others are buffing you through the roof. DPS races are fun stuff.

The parse makes it look like we were sacrificing 2 mages to overly boost 2 other mages, but it is deceiving, The SC/Ele (Tearluala) was doing a sub-optimal rotation and the buffer Zoomancer (Sinfill) died in the last 10 seconds and suffered from massive lag spikes during his cooldowns (as did a number of people due to the Zoomancers). The SC/Ele should have been over 1750 (If you add the DPS Static Discharge provides the raid that would put him well over 2200) and the Zoomancer should have been over 1900, putting them both right in the middle of the pack.

We setup the raid for maximum raid dps, not maximum mage DPS. They just happen to coincide.

Even if it accounts for 200 DPS(Which it might) that's still only like a 50 dps nerf.

    fact.

However, other mage specs may overtake it.

The highest non-necrodom parse I've seen posted was a 1950 necrolock. Given that dot-centric builds will make best usage of the new SO, this is probably the likely candidate for top-ST dps.

Which sucks, because I hate necrolock.

Nice ^^ May try to beat it next reset, have a few ideas on how to improve our previous parse, wish we had more room in class stacking though

Now that's a valid parse that we can somewhat work with (although it'd still be better to get actual ability breakdowns concerning an invidiual Mage). It still has (and shows) a few issues, but most was already mentioned.
So I guess I'll just congratulate you to break the 30k and leave it at the usual "the truth always falls to the middle", hence Mage DPS might not be perfect, but neither as bad as many people make it look like. (... although I'm still kinda concerned about PVP.)

./sigh Valid in what way??! Just more ammo for useless buff/nerf Mage or "insert class here" posts to bog down our forums.

In before people start whinging that it's not a valid exhibition of mage dps. Everyone knows that already.

It's still pretty lol to see zoo do 2.3k dps in the perfect setup and fight length.
Then post this garbage on your guild website. Come on guys, this is the interwebz, "everyone knows that already" is untrue. Just wait until the sheeple read this. In no way is this helpful and is just epeen flexing for Bluedot and his brethren. Not very becoming of Community Ambassadors. Stick to tc'ing and offering advice (such as recent Spotter's Order's posts and the like). And keep this stuff on Guild sites that the 1% of players can discern the meaning.
