Default Crafting Marks for a Gatherer (butcher, forager, miner)?

I saw this mentioned on the beta forum but haven't seen an update on this.

Have daily quests been added for gatherers (butcher, forager, miner) to earn crafting marks to buy recipes for dimension items? Yea, I know you can do the quests for survival and fishing but survival and fishing is on my armor/weapon/outfitter and I really have no desire to duplicate the time for raising those skills on my gatherer just so I can get marks when the quests should have been in there from the beginning, knowing there would be recipes for those three professions.

Maybe I have missed something in a patch or am looking at the wrong place for daily quests (crossing my fingers this is the case)?

So did I miss something? Are there gathering quests for a miner, forager, and butcher?

    Thanks

As of this date they haven't added any that I know of. Not long before SL released they said they were going to add them but it wouldn't be with the release, it would be added in a later patch.

Got an official response to my petition.

There are no quests for gatherers (which has already been pointed out). The wonderful solution of the GM was to take up fishing or survival and then I can do the daily and the weekly quest. Why would I need to take up a completely unrelated crafting skill to get marks to buy recipes that were put in for the gathering skills? I already have a character who is capped in fishing and survival. He is also my weaponsmith, armorsmith and outfitter so plenty of marks on him. Of course at the time they didn't say they were going to add recipes that required marks to buy for the gathering skills but forget to actually add a quest in to get these marks.

Either tell me you are adding a quest for the gatherers to also earn marks or make there a way that I can transfer my marks from another character over.

Forcing me to do another skill that I have already done with another character that requires me to go back to the starting zone to level...what a cop-out.

Ok, one more question. Are we talking near future? I know given dates aren't an option but are we talking within a patch or two or for the next expansion (hoping within a patch or two).

    Thank for responding.

Within a patch or two (or three, there's actually a lot of them to do from 1 to 375, across 3 professions).

Thank you Taleen. I can certainly wait a few patches and am very glad I don't have to go back to the starter zones to level up fishing and survival just to get the crafting recipes for gatherers.

So, if these quests are for dimension items, might one ask which types they may be for?

And, might I also make a suggestion? -

    Suggestion:

    - as we all either have a dimension of some sort, or are in a guild with one, or associated with someone who has one we may use, would it be possible to introduce a new dimension item>>>

    >>> the Foot Locker, or the Closet, or the Locker, or the Holding Shed - something that we Gatherers will be able to store all our collections of numerous "Gatherings, Craftings, etc" - the raw materials, the products, the fishes, the preparations, the final products, the dishes, the crafting materials , the whatevers we have collected, ad infinitum for our needs.....

As "Gatherers" for our crafts and our other toons Crafting skills we do have numerous things collected, and you know how that piles up, and space is something there have been numerous threads ongoing concerning that very topic, so I would ask that this be pushed through to the very maximal usefulness to the "Gatherers".

Thank you for your time, and hopeful to some type of change to this idea.

Very impressed that this is going in soon. It's been a long-lived irritation that my main takes so long to get marks with 2 gathering professions and only one craft. Thanks!

Adding crafting marks for gatherers is cool. But theres another problem - i got one pure crafter and one pure gatherer + fishing/survival. Now my gatherer char got loads of master and grandmaster marks from survival dailies. She needs mostly normal artisan marks for lures, but shes lacking those. Other side all her master and grandmaster marks just rotting there, i cant trade them for lower value marks, what i really could use or give them to my pure crafter character, who could really use those master marks.

Ofc its maybe not best way to choose professions for your characters, but its very comfortable way for me.

So my suggestion is to allow trade marks between your own characters, as you earned them anyway. Or make recipes account bound, not bind on pickup.
Possibility to trade marks to lower value marks is another feature what i really miss. If we can trade artisan marks to master marks, why not opposite way?

You take your time now, your working with so much good comedy material for the quests! One thought: confirm if schnozberries really taste like schnozberries =D
