Default a question about how philters work

been trying to use the endurance buff philter in groups lately and im confused about how it is supposed to work.

i know that a lot of people have buffs that override the philter but is there also a certain distance people must be within to receive the buff from the philter?

whenever a party member doesnt get the buff from my philter i check their buffs and sometimes people who did not get the philter buff dont appear to have any other type of endurance buff already active. in those cases i suspect some kind of distance limitation.

or maybe their buffs do indeed compete with the philter.

id just like to know as much detail about the philters as possible:
    - do they truey buff the whole raid party? no cap on number of people?
    - must people be within a certain range of the philter user to get the effects?
    - do some other buffs override philters even if the buff doesnt augment the same attribute as the philter buff?

If you look at the raid menu, you should see the potion buff on name. I'm not sure if there is a range limit. I would test one out in a WF and be far away from the raid. If the buff doesn't show up that means it does have a range limit.
