Reduce the refined metal required for Oilstones!

Dear Trion,

Please reduce the refined metal required to make Exquisite Oilstones down to the same requirement for Powerstones of 2 refined metal instead of 4. I can craft and break 25 items with my Artificer and get enough refined gems to make 8 powerstones, but crafting and breaking the same number of items with my weaponsmith nets only one oilstone. There is a huge disparity in the number of salvaged mats in the two tradeskills...reducing the required refined metal for oilstones would alleviate some of the unbalanced requirements in the recipes.

They would have to reduce the whetstones and spikes and plating then as well. The only reason you get more gems is that you get gems much less often when mining and if the return rate was the same it would be completly rediculous to make them. Also the oilstones are 2 hand only so they use twice the mats of the whetstones which are whatthet are probably using as the baseline for ammount of mats purposes.

I would be ok with them making a lesser form of oilstone. Not that crap Massive Wep Stone, but an oilstone that takes 2x Refined Metal to make and gives less to Wpn Dmg. I don't have the PA yet, and neither do I want to be using exquisite oilstones in experts or other obsolete content.

I find oilstones much easier to make then powerstones.

1. Make carmintium based diamond rings. That way you get both powerstone and oilstone mats when you break them.

2. I break any items level 47 and above that would sell to the vendor for less than a plat. Weapons, jewellery and armour. I might up this to 2 plat shortly, given the returns I'm getting from oilstones/whetstones on my server.

3. Carmitium belts seem to be the cheapest item to make and break for the soul purpose of making widgets for refined metal. 50 bars give me 6-8 oilstones pretty consistently.

For me it was about ensuring I made and broke the right items to max the plat returns from raw mats. I'm sure there are still better ways to do this, if anyone has any ideas I'd be delighted to hear them.

I think carmentium and diamond necklaces are better as I am pretty sure the rings use platinum and only return the lowest metal, not the widgets. As far as stuff to break just for widgets I use the carmentium rings or ringlets as they only take one bar and either a wax or a flux. I think that a long as they make a lower version of the oilstones that uses the processed metal instead of the refined that everything would be fine.

I am aware that such a thing exists. I was more looking for something to use the next tier down of metal up as I always wind up with a ton of it and it is basically worthless. I personnaly only use the tank stuff myself as that is my mainspec and I pretty much never dps.
