Hidden Nerf: decrease to chest drop rate with fishing?

I am lucky enough to work from home... and so I constantly have my line in the water at Ember Island... and I can say that since I hit 300 fishing about, what, 1-2 weeks ago... CONSISTENTLY I get 2-3 chests for every 1 hour of fishing. I don't think I've ever had a day that I only got 1 chest in 1 hour... today I have been fishing about 3-5 hours and NO chest drop... not one.

Have we been hit with a stealth nerf to chest drop rates with fishing? I have a GM ticket open as well in case I am bugged or something... but this isn't RNG... if it is I am the most unlucky person on the planet at the moment.

Maybe.... that is entirely possible.

As an update one finally just dropped for me... it had a recipe in it... usually I get about every 10-15 chests contain 1 recipe...

so I dunno. Maybe they decreased the rate of chest catches but offset it with a higher recipe drop rate. Who knows I guess.

It's not your imagination.

I fished for one full hour yesterday, including TWO Timed Magnetic Lures (triples chances of chests/artifacts), and I got ONE artifact the entire hour.

I don't know why they use a sledgehammer for adjustments.

I found 6 chests between grinding up fishing from 200-300. Since hitting 300 about 4-5 days after the patch release ive gotten a total of 1 chest. YES JUST 1. And i do fish fairly often for Feast mats since Trinity uses them in ID progression.

If there was a chest nerf it seems like it was a while back.

Interesting... I was thinking it might have been in todays downtime... because yesterday I didn't notice a change.

Maybe it is all just RNG and no changes made.
