Crafting Marks and MC Marks

I am disappointed in the daily quest rewards which include marks and greater marks. I have 1134 marks and I am about to stop doing the daily quest because the reward is pointless. Why can't the marks convert into planar attunment points? Plaques of acheivement do... You can get PA from the instant adventures... MC Marks can convert in a similiar fashion.

Also, it would be nice if marks convert to minor catalyst in a similiar fasion as plaques.

I know that there are other threads similiar to this, however, I am providing a solution and I did not want it to get buried...

Could you please clarify which daily request you are refering to? I am assuming the crafting dailies since this is the crafting thread however there are no such thing as Greater Craftsman marks. If you are refering to the daily random dungeons that do give marks of achievement, greater marks and infernals, you can certainly farm these for planar attunement.

And the master crafting daily does now give some planar attunement so I think I am missing your point.

I agree that master craftsman marks should be able to get you minor catalysts. In fact, it would be awesome if they could also give you the unstable catalyst (perhaps at 10-15 MC a pop). Or if there were a way to get the catalytic essences from marks (maybe 3 for 300 artisan marks or 1 MC).

By the way, you can convert the artisan marks into MC marks and use these to buy epic augments or some of the new recipes (if you don't have them all).

The Specialty Crafted Goods vendor next to where you get the crafting dailies/weekly. I believe it is 500 Artisan Marks for 1 MCM.

yes and the same vendor sells the augment boxes (exceptional augment box is 2MCM)

500 seems a bit high though. It takes a while to get 500 artisan marks, and its made harder due to the dailies almost always using the same resource.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but this is why I don't like the new dailies. Too expensive for just 31 ACMs. And they give me planar xp instead of a chance at a MCM? Additionally with these new ones being added they have taken away the dailies that would give 17 ACMs. I would much rather be doing those.

Back on topic, in comparison, it takes 150 ACMs to get a rare augment (one of the blues). This is saying that the epic purple ones are worth 1000 ACMs? I would think a better price might be 1 MCM.

And why can't ACMs or MCM's be used to purchase Minor Catalysts or Catalytic essences? This doesn't seem right.

Is it that I just have unbelieveable bad luck or did they stop the MCM rewards for the top crafting quests? I have three chars I do the crafting quests on every day and have not received ONE MCM for the top daily crafting quest since 1.8 came out.

This is bothersome because my artifacer needs NINTY FIVE of these in total for all the new recipes. At this rate, it will take about year to get them all (that includes cashing in the 500 Artisan's marks for 1 master craftsman's mark - otherwise it'd be 95 weeks almost 2 years!). I never said it should be easy, but to have three chars not receive ONE in this amount of time is just unreal.

BTW I DO check the number I have before I craft the item and turn it in just to see if it did not happen to show as a reward in the chat box (which I HAVE seen happen before)

Does no one do crafting rift raid groups anymore?

You get 1 MCM each week for your weekly
You get 1 MCM for each 500 CM you turn in
You get a small chance at a bonus MCM from your level 50 crafting dailies
You get a small chance at a bonus MCM from crafting rifts of the professions that you have

That's how you get them. Keep in mind that on launch the ONLY way to get these was the random daily. They've added the weekly, the rifts, and the exchange to make things easier. Yet people still complain.

I quit doing the crafting dailies long ago. The rewards are "bleh"

500 acm for 1 mcm seems fair to me. I don't much like the new acm dailies, more for their expensive mats, but what's a grinding brother to do? I look at the mcm recipes I'm grinding for and know a few trips to the basic raids will give much better gear, but still I do the dailies like a moth to flame.

Where can you get exchange 1 MCM for 500 CM? Might be incentive to actually do dailies instead of crafting rifts.

The exchange is one way. 500 Artisan marks for 1 master craftsman mark (not the other direction). There should be an augment vendor next to the daily crafting quest giver (in the manufactor on the defiant side) which will allow you to make this trade.

A lot of people called me crazy for being craft nerd.. but it is easy levelling to around 35 on crafting only..
So I did.. on 6 toons..

I have multiple outfitters, runecrafters, artificers, 1 apo, 1 ws and 1 as.
I have at least 2 toons for every harvesting profession, did every regular 8-item daily and levelled all to 50.
So yeah, a cr*p load of work. But this nerd has all the 12 plaque recipes and all the seal recipes.

It takes some work, but think outside the box, do what you normally wouldnt do and you'll be able to make enough purple marks for those recipes within 6 weeks..
