How should a warlord be used in a 5man dungeon?
Which of these roles are appropriate/viable - maintank, offtank, pure support?

Main tank would be my shout. Some very solid tanking talents, particularly early on. Not sure how it will play post 30 though.
I'm a level 25 warrior atm. I've run quite a few IT and DsM runs as a Reaver/Pally/VK Tank and was enjoying it quite a bit. Halfway through one of my runs the rogue asked if he could try tanking with his riftwalker spec. I switched out to a Warlord/Champ 2h spec, I played it as a dps using a 2h but only using abilities that benefited the party. We immediately saw a massive change of pace in the run, we were able to absolutely destroy every pull with blinding speed compared to what we were doing before. I might actually main a Warlord spec at 50 if it really makes this much of a difference to have one in the group.
I would say playing a main warlord as a tank or off-tank might not be as good as a support dps, simply because as a dps you can constantly just used abilities that help the whole party, whereas as a tank you may be forced to use more defensive abilities in some situations.
I have been maintanking as reaver till level 23 and want to get some experience with other builds while still low-level so the learning curve isnt as steep. Also I maintanked as riftstalker to level 31 in beta. I found the play-styles between the two to be strikingly different. Really loving this game!
it's a fine tanking 5 man, just need to get some aoe - else you have to switch targets a lot
I tanked RotF with no deaths as a Warlord heavy, Warlord/Paladin/VK. I did mark everything before I pulled though...
I main tank as Warlord/Paladin/VK.
It's all about managing your buffs really. I like to open with Aggressive Block, Pacifying Strike and Empowering Strike to build AP and then use Call to Battle or Call to Entrench. From there, it's just rotating Leader's Mark, PS, and ES while refreshing Aggressive Block to build AP and alternating between your Call spells. If you are building AP very quickly, you can throw Spotter's Order in there too. I like to throw in Face Slam and Retaliation when I can to help with threat.
I like to macro this as much as possible so I can focus on controlling the battle.
Build AP/threat macro.
cast Aggressive Block
cast Retaliation
cast Face Slam
cast Pacifying Strike
I throw in Leader's Mark and Empowering Strike as needed otherwise I just spam that to build AP.
Buff macro
cast Call to Battle
cast Call to Entrench
cast Spotter's Order
This macro will "twist" Calls for you and throw in Spotter's Order if you gain AP very quickly. It lets me react to the battle and not worry about firing off abilities in the correct order all the time.
I haven't tried warlord since the nerfs. It just seems to be there to add more for single boss tanking of Paladin/Warlord.
For RotF its just better to do Paladin/Reaver/Warlord. Paladin gives you the survival and Reaver gives you easy aoe threat at low lvls. Paladin doesnt get aoe til later.
I was chain pulling in RotF, too bad there isn't bonus exp
I don't mark trash, a tank should be able to hold aggro on all the mobs, means switching targets constantly.

Yeah if you're looking for AOE threat then the Reaver is what you want. It's just amazing being able to spread your diseases and watch all the mobs glue to you.
Warlord has some very good passives and active abilities and goes very well as a secondary to Reaver aoe threat.
I didn't mark the mobs for me to attack, I marked them for the DPS to attack...
There is hardly any appeal or talk about the warlord. Maybe it's because all those "5%" abilities do not exactly make a man exciting to look forward to. It seems like an over-nerfed soul.
Warlord is a fine soul as either primary or secondary, one of the few in the game that can fit well with anything.
Personally I prefer to have Paladin/Warlord, simply because I prefer most of the active abilities of the Paladin.
Just trying to get some feed back from other warrior tanks on this designed spec that I have setup and any additional suggestions you guys have found to be a better improvement on tanking that I might have over looked.

I think all them 5% skills will be pretty damn important come lvl 50. At a lower lvl, not so much as you might need more abilities to make it easier to hold aggro on multiple mobs.
I'm going to be trying out an even split Reaver/Paladin tank tonight (lvl 20)....Should make it easy to hold aggro on groups of mobs.
