ROTFL with my wife looking at me funny. Do you *REALLY* want to compare shamans to warriors? We can go there. I assure you shaman utterly sucks in offensive and defensive skills.

PvP-wise shaman is garbage.

And design-wise... it's also garbage. LH 11111 LH 11111 LH 11111 LH 11111... Then again same goes for all cleric dps souls.

I'm really hoping the new cleric soul plus the old souls' redesigns give cleric truly badass pvp melee dps options on par with warrior, because what it has now doesn't even count.

I think that may happen... But it will require big changes to Justicar. IMO, that is one big reason they hold back on Cleric DPS. Too much good stuff too low in the Justicar tree. How big of an investment does it take to get considerable group heals and extra defense? 11, 12 points? Warriors do not have any kind of equivalent soul. We may be able to spec for lots of defense, but once our health is gone.... It's gone. But a Cleric with some self-heals has nearly infinite HP, assuming your DPS cannot overtake his HPS. But you can whittle down a Warrior.

Personally, I think a ranged soul for warriors could be really fun, and I've been wishing they had one. It also makes more sense than a healing soul, because there has to be *some* use for a healer--warriors can't do it all. But I've always thought it pointless that warriors can use guns and bows but with no ranged abilities, which makes them kind of pointless unless you want to do an unhelpfully low amount of damage.

A ranged dps soul will be different but not a bad idea at all. It is also not the end of the world. LOL.

Mages are ranged dps but got one melee soul with SL. It would make sense for warriors to get one ranged soul with all that melee. It is just different. I for one look forward to something different. I need it at this point.

I am excited to see what they come up with. The warrior class needs something different or variety. Here is the developers chance.
