I'll second this; Sigils seem to be largely up to preference or whatever's available that I can tell. I know for tanking there's like zero info as to if you want all lessers, or some greaters, and what lessers, etc. I guess for DPS it might be easier but still, a guide would be nice.

had not seen the list. Now that I have I can say I dont understand it. So say just pick the top 6 lessers and put em on a sigil? or is there some combination of lesser greater that is more effective. So while the list is a portion of the battle it doesnt fully help. Need stuff like the thingies that show where ppl put their tree points but for just sigil slot builds.

Meh. Can look at it anyway you like. Simple fact is I dont care enough to do my own research all in all I suppose its not that important.

The problem is most guides are just a straight up linear order, so not very helpful because it doesn't organize things in an intuitive way. Maybe the Warrior ones are different, but the Cleric BiS list was very hard to follow.
Its not research. Look at the bloody item and figure it out. Jesus. Simple addition is hard.
X Lesser has
12 str
23 dex
30 crit
Is it better than Y Lesser
20 Str
13 Dex
28 crit
Well let's see... going for crit so X = 23dex + 30crit = 53crit total
Y = 13dex + 28crit = 41crit total
How is that a difficult thing to figure out?
Forget crit sigils, stack AP.
Str = .75AP
Dex = .25AP
AP = 1AP
Get a calculator if you run out of fingers.

Its not hard to follow if you made it out of 3rd grade alive. It tells you the stat values of each item, and ranks them. If you know you're over the crit cap, then the CRIT HEAVY lessers probably aren't going to do you much good. Don't be ******ed and the BiS lists do the work for you. Lord knows most of you shouldn't put your brains through the stress of simple addition.

Start at the top, work your way down the list. If the lesser has CRIT, you don't want it. Stack AP. If you don't have access to the item. SKIP IT. Go to the next in line.
If you can't figure that out, go to the local sporting goods store, buy a helmet, and try not to hurt yourself.

I am more concerned with certain combinations of lessers/greater than will be better. Yeah you can go down the list and choose 6 lessers that are the top ones, but that doesnt rly mean its going to be the best for a certain situation other than buffing whatever stat be it ap or crit or whatever.

Just pop in the stat weights that matter to you and get your BiS sigil.
Of course it means you need to stop being lazy and work out the correct stat weights, which means it may not be for you, but its far more flexible than the BiS list.
As an example here's your water resist DPS sigil, pick the top 6:
