I would just go straight for the best.

You need to save up 600 inscribed sourcestones and a few thousand planarite. Don't even bother with the 50 ISS ones since you will just overwrite them anyway. If you want to tank as well then make that 1200 ISS, add another 600 if you want an AP and a Crit sigil.

Then you can fill it out with Best-In-Slot essences. There are several spreadsheets on which ones to buy and when. Rain's BiS list in the warrior guides section is useful for this. Since you are a fresh 50 you will probably be prioritising Dex/Crit heavy essences. As you push closer to the crit cap this will change to Dex/AP or Str/AP heavy.

Your best bet is to hit up the following in this order of priority;

Ember Isle Invasions!! 10-20+ ISS based on participation.
Standard Level 50 Invasions 5-10 ISS
Daily Rift Raids (just once per day) x6 ISS

You could also do;

Daily Expert Rift x3 ISS
Instant Adventure ?? ISS

However for grinding ISS they hardly seem worth the cost/benefit. If you play for a few hours a day you could easily net 30-40 ISS in a session. Realistically it's going to take about 2 weeks minimum to make a single best-in-slot sigil.

As a fresh 50, It's probably better for you to pick up the crit essences of your sigil/focus first, thats where you will gain most benefit as a fresh 50.

As you get more sourcestone or near finishing your sigil/focus you can slot the attack powers ones in.

The grind might seem a little overwhelming at first but remember you can overwrite current essences, so don't feel like you can't fill it with green or blue essences at first just to fill it up and get you some stats

if your brand new you can aquire some real cheap lvl 48 essences from IPP,SS, and SM (rare planar goods vendor) to quick fill it out with lvl 48 blues then go fill it with RaidRift drops till you can save for 100 ISS BIS essences.

The best thing i can suggest you do is to go to the war guides section, click on thr link to mehalrains bis list.

Open the bis list and go file > make a copy

Then go to docs.google.com and open your now editable copy. Go to the "dps gear" tab.

Plug in all your equipment. All your pa. Your spec (choose a common one like 51 champ). Your crystal if any. Runes. Etc. Everything you can. Then click go.

Once it finishes calculations go to the dps essences tab.

The ones on the far left column called lesser essences sorted are bis customized for you and your gear, weapons, spec, pa.

We can not tell you a list becsuse it changes so much with gearing. For example i just overwrote one of my essences, smoldering flare, with grave rituals, becsuse it was higher on the custom list. Thrn i gained some PA levels and thr smoldering flare is now BIS again.. Lol! Its probably not worth tweaking so often but every now and thrn is good. I might switch back to smoldering flare since its fire. Then i can apply 20 fire rune to sigil and it will be a useful partial fire sigil.

My current top 6 minmax sigil for 51/13/2 and ID gear with 40k PA is:

Western tempest
Sharp gem
Sublime scintillating brimstone (fire event)
Necrotic rituals
Rushing surge
Smoldering flare

I suggest u also stsrt monitoring for world events. Get in the habit of pressing M for map. Zoom out. And if there are events in stillmoor, ipp, ember island, or shimmersand, go participate. You can rack up inscribed super quick.

Also get in the habit of pressing . For instant adventures. If you see a defend the wardstone IA or if someone advertises it in 50 chat hop on it like madonna and an 18 year old. They are amazing sources of planarite and pa xp.

Your planar sigil can be filled with lesser essences. They are sold in your capital city by the planar vendors for fire, life, death etc. I dont know where they are in meridian but in sanctum they are on the first floor on the left as you enter the large sanctum building.

You will need a sigil to put essences in. Sigil of the 5 gives 6 slots and costs 7500 planarite. If you were around for the carnival event and got rune king seals you could have bought the barnacle encrusted sigil which is account bound and gives 20 water resist.

You gain "inscribed source stones" from completing open world invasions, and daily quests (located in sanc/meridian). The vendors are either the planes vendors in your capital city, or the rare planar goods vendor.
