    Default i miss rw

i thought there would be a build that would have the same mobility with bull rush thread the trees and fleet of foot.. st dps with mb rw sli fb. and with the range. and with the aoe..
all the specs now doesnt even come close to how fun vals rw is.
51 champ gives u no mobility no range.. good aoe but erratic st
    para good st no aoe
bm no range ok st ok aoe
i was just hoping that they shoulda brought this builds closer to vals rw.
yes everyone was using it before.. because it was just that good all around

Just change your build according to the fight. Im running around with 4 dps specs, changing depending on the fight itself.

You miss 100-300 dps determined to RNG? I do not. Champ also has great single target i'm running the 13/2 RB/BM variant and parsing 4k+ with it so it's definitely solid ST, also the aoe is pretty insane with champ with cornered beast and bladefury. If you want mobility go with a dw spec such as 38/22/6 para/champ/rift, it has bull rush, thread the trees, fleet of foot and ranged moves. The options are there my friend you just have to look.

I miss the old RW spec too. I don't mind all of the new variety, but whichever spec I run, I always feel like something is missing compared to the old RW spec.

With the champ specs, knockbacks, snares, and anti-melee mechanics make it boring. I think at the very least they should remove the CD on flamespear. It's not like the skill hits that hard anyway. At least it would let us keep up some semblance of a rotation at range.

With the DW specs, you just can't AoE at all.

And while in theory it's easy to say "Well just switch to DW for ranged fights and use 2H for AoE/Stationary fights", that makes gearing and PA spending a nightmare. I have a Kraken Spine and all my PA in Polearm mastery, so my 2H specs simply parse much higher than DW specs do, even on fights with disconnects. Most fights in the game are best suited to the 2H specs still, so people will naturally aim for 2Hers first. Also, they won't have to compete with the rogues for 1H weapons that way.

At the end of the day, I parse higher now with the new specs than I did with RW, even with the disconnect issue, so I'm not really complaining, but I do miss the all in one nature of the old RW spec. If they took away the CD on flamespear, that would go a long way.

I see what you're saying, but I'd rather have more diversity than be stuck in the same build for every fight. RW was good, but even if you had perfect rotations, RNG could screw you over, which was annoying. Not to mention running the same spec over and over got boring after a while. Right now I have 4 specs that can be used for different encounters or different raid comps as opposed to 1 spec for every encounter and every raid comp.

So far I, as well as a lot of other people I'm sure, are very happy with the changes for PvE warriors in 1.8.
