AP Scaling and other DPS changes to the Warrior going up to PTS

A 2H build I've been playing around with now for a few weeks that I don't see alot of mention, 44BM, 22CH, 0 RB. Parse does not include enraged companion buff. Gear is all live gear, 600 PA, GI and Kraken, no T3 PA.

Very nice. That's been a build I've played around with a bit. I kept meaning to look at the damage of Feral sweep to Punishing Blow, assuming that in a raid setting you'd have other bleeds running.

Yep, but 40/26 have more dps (around 3050-3.1k with similar gear), more AoE dps (Bladefury + Feral Sweep) and have semifaceroll rotation

hmm, i haven't seen a comparable BM parse with the lastest pts, but with the amount of pages this thread has, i concede it could have been lost in the fray....link? Kind of curious to see the breakdown.

Everyone you find will also be using enraged companion, which is worth another 200 dps.

I just ran couple parses this morning for 51Champ/13RB/2BM. I parse only 2850 with Kraken, GI, Consumable (35str/dex pot, cake, oilstone), 1200AP/1062Crit.

I'm coming out with a loss for any RB finisher but FB. Currently I'm not using a BM crystal at all on 51 champ. Try 51/9para/6rb with the champion crystal. Bladefury as a STDPS finisher. No need to mighty blow as a builder, though it's definitely viable for AoE splash while focussing.

Doing 2900 with no trinket on, but with 1300 attack compared to your 1200.

EB should be a dps increase.

I still dont get the point of Scald, is it ADDITIONAL damage? OR is the damage you do, simply converted to *AIR* type damage. If that is the case, i feel like Scald is a mock skill in place to make us think we got another passive buff...

It's the IB version of DG.

Reduce IB Cooldown to 3 seconds at the lowest. This would allow for slightly smoother DW rotations for the builds that use it. Thanks.

Not gonna happen. The whole point of the change is that the game is being balanced around a 4.5sec window of damage from 3xAP+Finisher. For Riftblade, the finisher is oGCD, for Para/Ch its with a GCD finisher and extra AP. Things like SLI don't do damage so they can remain oGCD.

This is actually a good change because it allows RB to retain oGCD finishers without them being mandatory for every other build.

Anyway with 44 BM we have +54% pet dmg (additive bonus too) and +35% dmg from Primal Rage +strong rotation, with 40/26 we have ~+11% additional bonus from Deadly Strikes, +36% additional dmg bonus from Weapon Spec, +Distruptive Strike - top builder and +1 CP every 10 sec, +3% crit dmg from Slayers Bearing and faceroll rotation also all Tearing Slash and Feral Sweep only with 3 CP

yea, and probably also enraged companion I'm assuming, which I didn't use since in theory it would affect everyone's parse in the raid. Albeit, you lose some pet dps by not using it as well. Still, would rather be conservative than overstate usefulness.

From what I've seen on the PTS, blood fever isn't hitting hard enough, dot included, to be worth it. Also, ravaging strike is hitting harder than searing strike or power strike, around 120 more on crits, not sure if it is more than fierce strike as I didn't have the bm crystal at the time.

This is because Ravaging strike has an armor debuff, try the Power Strike again after you have used Ravaging strike.
