An in depth Guide: 51 Riftblade/15 Paragon

Parsing today 2316 dps on plutonus with 51 RB 15 para using a 2 HANDS and using fb and sb when i get an extra attack point.
My stuff is r8 4 pieces 2handed r8 and the rest t3 items.

Is this one behind 51 RB? or 38 para? What does 50% do to a large amount of strenght?!

Are u 2h or DW? HK weaps/R8 or T1 Raid?

Just heard Trion is nipping the use of PVP gear in PVE...

I assume you have a link to this source? If so then make pve relics do 0 damage in pvp and I will call it even.

U dont find it odd that they didn't put T1 raid crystals in the game, but have a t1 raid equiv in for pvp?
Also heard talks of them adding a PVE Crystal for T1 Raid.

Makes sense with the comments they made about wanting warriors in plate, and making gear changes to make it almost certain they would.

I just did some parses to compare the performance between 2H / DW

Spec: 51 rb / 15 para

2h weapon : r8 2h ( 58 dps )
dw : hk sword mainhand ( 44 dps) / t1 raid gp dagger offhhand ( 34 dps)

stats: pretty much the same as lamebois, slightly more ap, slightly less crit

buffs : selfbuffs, 10 ap buff food, chloro ability reduction.No weaponstone

Did 3 parses each to be able to estimate the dps range better. The testings was done on an elite dummy instead of boss dummy since i dont have 321 hit for 2h yet if i use the r8 2h weap. The dmg is the same - just the hit requirement is different.
Abilitiynames are in german, but the order is the same, you should be able to figure it out

2H ( range : 1740 - 1770)

with this build, 2h with the same tier parse better for me for every attempt, and i guess the situation it would remain the same in a raid environment - with the exaption of fights with longer melee disconnect - but you have your loadequipmacro for that.

I also did buy the r8 1h sword ( with ap) and did 2 parses with it. The outcome was exactly as expected , the parse range remains pretty much the same , the only increase was autoattack dps ( about 15 dps increase for me - but i crit less, so my parse was actually slightly lower). Choosing the ap r8 weapon seems to be the wrong choice since i was missing about 70 crit and was a bit starved, 750 crit+ seems to be the magic number. Choosing the r8 dagger with crit would be the better choice.

Going to test the 15 champ version tomorrow

Hey Lameboi, I was wondering in regards to weaving FB and SBEB finishers in this build. I understand the recommended rotation is:

3AP > FB > 3AP > SBEB > 3AP > FB > 3AP > SBEB

This is provided you get weaponmaster procs for the 3AP's before each and every SBEB correct?

I was wondering if you apply SBEB after using the AP macro twice regardless of any weaponmaster procs. i.e if you get 2 points only after using the ap macro twice then apply EBSB any how and go back to getting 3AP for FB. So it would work out something like this.

3AP > FB > AP MACROX2 > SBEB > 3AP > FB > AP MACROX2 > SBEB.

I suppose ultimately the question would be is a 2 point SBEB finisher more damae than 1 tick of FB or not. Most of the time under normal circumstances you would get 3AP from AP MACROX2 usage, but in the occasionaly unlucky hits where u only get 2 combo points from AP MACROX2 should we just hit the AP MACROX3 and go back to FB? or perhaps use SBEB either way and get 3AP for the next FB.

Cool thx dude, yea I suppose trying to apply SBEB between every FB finisher could potentially power starve you and will ultimately put both storm and earth bursts on cooldown every 3rd round if you get a lot of weaponmaster procs for FB finishers. I will stick with FB if if I dont get a weapnmaster proc.

There is some issue there. You state that your AP is close to what Frootloops is but your autoattack damage while DWing T2 raid weapons (well one of them) is 217. I hit usually 280-300 autoattack damage with Fang of Lifelord. I will let you know today how much I parse with full r8 gear.
