That's approximately the build I use for solo/pug wf. It's sword n board, the riftblade is there so you aren't sucking so bad at damage (only the strikes suffer from using a 1her, and then it's only like a 30% decrease). It's got 24% spell damage mitigation altogether, tons of anti CC and physical mitigation, and ranged damage/utility.

I made a solo spec that I just happened to try in PvP in Codex and managed to get like 17 KB and had a **** load of fun that was 44 RB / 22 Champ / 0 VK.
I have played a total of like 3 codex's with it (trying to get the trinket) but from what I can tell it's really good 1v1 or even several v1 because of your self heal. The problem is that the burst is less and it's actually kinda hard to kill healers 1v1 even with lingering wounds etc.
I was wondering how the 2handed build here, 35champ/20para/11vk compares? I'm assuming you have 0 self-heal which means it works better in a premade. Is it still a good build when you are 100% solo?

I'm a big fan of DW and I'd love to use a paragon based build. What I fear is that I'm going to create a glass cannon that won't resist in PvP but at the same time not do enough damage.
Any help in terms of survaivability?
