51RB is a much more defensive and effective 1v1 build than the 44/22. 44/22 shouldn't be mistaken for a 1v1 build, it's a pure support-assisted burst DPS build.

It's also pure fun. Which is why I've been running around with it instead of my riftblade/pally build.

Just had a big show down, at least 10v10, in shimmersands and it was hella fun as 44/22/0.

No, definitely not BM sucks donkey nuts in PvP. Try that pally/para/champ build I posted for you and let us know how it plays! I'm betting it's hot stuff. Or check out the modified pally/champ/vk build I posted a few posts below the OP. Or go look at that other guys "surprisingly hard hitting S/B" tread. There's lots of options already up and there is no "best" solo pvp spec.

Sorry to be an idiot,

But im looking for a build abit better than the 44 Paragon / 22 Champ build. After something that is either 2hander or, preferably, sword and board (although a link to 1 of each would be great) which is ~ok~ to flag carry in and also decent for 1v1 and dishing out a little damage. In rank 2 gear, but am rank 3.

I understand to get high damage you have to sacrifice survivability and vica verse but which is the best balanced, effective spec as I dont often get in premades!

That's approximately the build I use for solo/pug wf. It's sword n board, the riftblade is there so you aren't sucking so bad at damage (only the strikes suffer from using a 1her, and then it's only like a 30% decrease). It's got 24% spell damage mitigation altogether, tons of anti CC and physical mitigation, and ranged damage/utility.

I can't edit it or I would have just done that. The first 3 pages or so of the other thread were written before the patch as theory. Some of it, including the main spec on the OP, is wrong. Plus all the specs were spread out over like 8 pages or something. This makes it easier for people who don't have a lot of time to read.

I made a solo spec that I just happened to try in PvP in Codex and managed to get like 17 KB and had a **** load of fun that was 44 RB / 22 Champ / 0 VK.

I have played a total of like 3 codex's with it (trying to get the trinket) but from what I can tell it's really good 1v1 or even several v1 because of your self heal. The problem is that the burst is less and it's actually kinda hard to kill healers 1v1 even with lingering wounds etc.

I was wondering how the 2handed build here, 35champ/20para/11vk compares? I'm assuming you have 0 self-heal which means it works better in a premade. Is it still a good build when you are 100% solo?

It's definitely better with heals but everything is better with heals really. You'll find it hits much harder than 44 RB for sure.

I'm a big fan of DW and I'd love to use a paragon based build. What I fear is that I'm going to create a glass cannon that won't resist in PvP but at the same time not do enough damage.

Any help in terms of survaivability?

Shouldn't you be targeting the weakest target regardless of your spec? Hell, I will target any warrior I see holding two weapons as soon as I see them. They go down faster than a Kardashian at a NAACP convention. The only warriors I take seriously are using two handers.

I don't know Zin, I have a kardashian build also but in my Mike Tyson build I can "strip and raape" aka Wrist strike/death touch.

It is a good thing I have stonespear, bursts, riftsurge, and fear when you do that.
