Can you re-state that percentage-wise Dase?

I don't know how much damage you do. Just asking for a point of reference.

For me that's like 18% but I think it'd be a flat loss of 200dps.

he doesnt mean a %, he's subtracting his pet vs what you gain from the other trees and is assuming a 200dps loss at all gear lvls.
Useful Rogue guides since I don't want to answer 50 billion questions anymore:
Marksman, Ranger, Nightblade, Blink'Blade, Asstalker, Assdancer, and finally The Hoko Spec™
Hoko, teaching noobs the way of rogue pve until 12/20/11.

Is there any factoring of the fact that RW will be doing 30% more damage on crits with a two-hander?

It's just based on your losing bite, flesh rip, strike to maim and the rest of the pet dps. But you should test it you might make up the rest with the added crit.

I've tried builds similar to that and they don't come close to the BM/Champ/para cookie cutter spec. And for the record, Disruptive Strike is BY FAR the WORST designed ability in the entire game. It uses WAY too much energy to be viable in any rotation.

I pointed this out in my "Dream 1.3 Patch notes." It needs to do at least as much damage as Rising Waterfall, I 100% agree.

But last night I was running DSM and three separate times my pet attacked from the front after I told it to go back in on Bonehew, Gatekeeper, and Caretaker and I'm at the point where I'm at a loss. The pet runs in front of crap all the time, even when I'm parked 25 yards behind the mob(s) to avoid AoE, and he's on passive, I'll go back in, sic him in, and he'll run directly to the front of the mob, standing next to the tank despite my being clearly on the mob(s) ***. It happens constantly, and its infuriating. At best it costs me a GCD on Primal Recovery (and its demented power cost). At worst, the pet gets one shot and I have to either deal with him not being there or spend 8 seconds re-summoning. I understand that a lot of you aren't from WoW, but I played a lock for nearly 5 years and was Demo for much of that. My Felguard NEVER attacked from the front unless he had threat and I was soloing.

This pet has a propensity to do so, and the penalty seals it for me: I activate aggressive companion and his health and armor drop to crap so a cleave that even I could live through will destroy him right through his 35+% damage reduction on AoEs.

RB's lack of scaling kills that for me, despite the extreme affection I have for the tree's design (honestly, if Rift Surge worked on bosses and had half the cd, that would fix alot) and all VK hybrids seem to generate too much threat, as well as the fact that AP scaling is horrible overall. So I was just thinking while I ate my yogurt that this could work.........If Dual Wielding didn't suck so bad and we didn't have to waste so many talent points on parry to get to Paired Strike, then the Paragon one could work......but I'm at a loss at this point. I'm willing to dump 200+ dps to not have to lose even more damage due to stupid pathing and bad AI.

If Destroyer's didn't suck, maybe 51 Champ, 2 BM, 13 Para would work?

Trion, please, give us a pass here. The pet sucks. I don't care if you feel it should be top, let something come within freaking 20% of that terrible build.

Do you have him on passive with Bite on the top of your spam macro? I've had this happen to me a few times but I'm almost always able to hit follow real quick to get him back on my side of the mob.

No, he was only sent in once I was in range.

His attacking is not attached to my Bullrush.

I manually hit Pet attack and just deal with Bite on Auto cast instead of macro'ing in hoping it would fix it.

He ran right in front of the listed mobs and attacked right from the front.
