    Default Stats to Focus on for Reaver

    So do the following things effect Reavers Dots?

    Spell Power
    Physical Crit
    Strength
    Dexterity

    Or are they simply unaffected by stats all together?

    Strength, strength, strength! Just look at what strength does compared to dexterity. Instead of repeating, I'll just quote this post:

    #1. All damage including flamespear etc. scale with AP damage. That being said yes 1 str = 1 AP = 0.1 point of damage.

    #2. While flamespear appears to be "magic" we have tested and adding int and spell power items do not add any damage to this ability. We have increased Spell power by ~200 and saw less damage due to changing out str gear for int.

    #3. For everyone who keeps touting dex over str. 1 pt dex = 0.5 pt crit chance. 1 pt str = 0.4 pt crit chance. However 1 pt str also = 1pt AP, 1pt block, 1.5 points parry. 1pt dex = 1 pt dodge and 0.4 pt parry.

    1 pt crit chance = 0.41% crit which means 100 dex over 100 str means 4.1% increase in crit but 10 less damage per hit. 150 pts less block. and 110 pts less parry (30% less chance at parry).

    So taking all this into account on an offensive perspective 100 hits at 300 points a hit. For the dex build would be. 4.1 hits of plus 150 damage = +615. Str build would be 3000 plus damage.

    Defensively dex loses out and even more so if you use block against physical types and only gains a slight advantage assuming you can dodge a spell.

    All I can say is strap it on dex monkeys.. I hope I run into tons of you in the warfronts.
    While the aim was at riftblade, that goes for any warrior.

    Most of the information in the quote above me is wrong.

    1 point of strength = .75 AP, 1 parry, and 1 block. It does not have any impact on critical rating.

    1 point of dex = .25 AP, 1 dodge, and 1 crit.

    It doesn't take a brain surgeon to mouse over your stats in game, so the information in the above quote is probably taken from an earlier build and has no bearing on the current game.

    Furthermore, the damage per 100 hits given is misleading. If we assume anything in that math is correct(and it probably isn't) it will work out as below.

    Assuming 100 hits of 300 base damage and 10% base crit, with some rounding done for viewing pleasure:

    +100 dex = +2.5 damage, +4% chance to crit

    86 non-crits = 25800 + 215 = 26015
    14 crits = 8400 + 35 = 8435
    total = 34450

    +100 strength = +7.5 damage

    90 non-crits = 27000 + 675 = 27675
    10 crits = 6000 + 75 = 6075
    total = 33750

    Throw in buffs that augment critical damage and dex wins even harder. Attack power is added after base damage calculations and not before which is why AP scales so poorly with warrior builds.

    Yeah, you're right. *total embarrassment* I shouldn't post when tired. Looking at the ingame tool tips, that quoted post must be concerning an old build. And I was so hopeful that stats were just that easy. LOL
