    Default Beastmaster and PVP

So recently I hit 50 on my warrior archetype. I leveled a champ/bm as my main specs. Before tooling around with specific PVP builds, I wanted to try putting 51 points into every class to get a feel for all abilities, play styles, etc...

Does Beastmaster make any sense for PVP? I can't...for the life of me...figure out what exactly they do besides giving the team decent buffs and finding rogues, what can they do in PVP? Is this class only meant for a combo or PVE?

From what I understand BM is primarily a support class that does decent sustained dps as long as your kitty is alive in PVE, as well as in PVP.

My experience is limited to Warfronts rather than PvP servers, but my Beast/Champ holds his own, and while maybe not the best pvp build, it's fun to play. There are two situations I try to look for that 'work' for me:

Hunting down lone prey - Pretty much any DPS class can do this, but the player separated from the pack is always a target. Use pet in offensive for the root ability on pounce, and use bull rush to close distance when they try to run, or to get through AoE snare (I'm talking to you, Sabs!). 15% run speed also helps. Not rocket science, but it works.

Group on group AoE DPS overload - When there aren't any stragglers, I stick with a posse, and when we find a similar mob to clash with, it's AoE time. Build points with Mighty Blow, and lay on with the fully charged AoE bleeds. For single target, we all know burst dmg > bleeds, but when you're hitting the whole mob at once, this is where our crazy DPS numbers come in, and over time, it can seriously tax the healers. Keep an eye out for people in the danger zone and hit em with all your off-GCD hits to focus em down, then go back to AoE mode.

Traditionally, kill shot totals aren't top of the list, but your list of contributed kills, and total damage done should be through the roof if you spend a lot of time wailing on groups like that.

(Bonus mode for when you're bored - Find a vantage point and micro your pet around the field, helping to root and harass people that are running away from your teammates. )
