    Default sin in pvp

Everyone is acting like some kind of expert on classes when in fact, noone really knows how good or bad the souls are or will be.

I have had nothing but success in pvp with a sin/riftblade/bard build. Pop in and out of combat with the plane shifting abilities of the riftstalker.

Yes I die but guess what everyone else does too. Theres alot of awesome potential to play every soul of each class the way you want. If you don't care to utilize the opportunities available to you by the 2 other souls at your disposal thats your choice, but don't come on here and whine about how much this class sucks, when then game is barely started.

... and that is my goal.

However up to 24 my crits were much lower than my MM spec finishers and unless I had someone assist my kill rate was really low. This could be due to a number of things (bad weapons, poor spec although it's pretty standard, bad luck, not enough levels to get to get the sweet spot abilities) but I still enjoyed the assassin. I just hope things get better than now because just about every other rogue spec outshines it damage wise in pvp (WFs specifically).

    Or on the other hand....

Having played the game to max level on the Assassin, maybe some of us are taking the opportunity of BETA, when we are SUPPOSED to give feedback, to get a message across?

Assassin is not a bad soul, it's just not as bursty as you'd hope - but it does have some real great utility in it. That said, we'll have to see how it plays out at 50 with various subspecs, it may turn out to be the most imba subspec for nightblade PvP yet.

29 RS/sin and in another 6 levels or so id switch the points for souls to Sin/rs ... They dont have the damage/survivability at this point though. With the poison/heal and RS +30% heal, armor bonus, endurance, etc the build should work imo. At higher levels I am guessing there will be elemental buffs so that NB damage wont be as high ... spec the sin 50% ignore armor for two abilities? I think sins are an end game soul.

Sins do big dmg, consistant big dmg, however, you need to spec them right.
Amen to that..I have been lvling a sin/rift/blade..more points in the sin/rift than blade..have to keep moving.....and be very aware of your surroundings.. I am thinking about changing one of the souls for Sab and seeing how that goes. I have done a bit of PVP warfronts with good results. Remember, you have a team to work with and aren't solo....Time will tell, but I really like this class.!!!!!!Enough said..

I can tell you now, PVE Sins are amazing! I will be rolling one for my main spec for questing and endgame at 50. If I need to do PVP, I can easily switch my spec to something suitable. This is how I will be speccing for dungeons and questing: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...RfxsfcdbM.VV0m

the goal of the BG is to win not kill the most players.
why don't people understand this? you can kill all the level 20 marksmen you want but my 2-3 healer assassinations are what counts sowwy

The people having success with Assassins in PvP, what are you using as second/third souls? what are you using as an opening sequence from stealth?

What makes sense to me is:

32 Assassin/22 Riftstalker/12 Infiltrator, give or take. The idea being that you open hard with the assassin and then the Riftstalker provides defense/chase abilities to survive and lean on your victim, and the infiltrator abilities are mostly for the CC-break, magic removal/immunity, and anti-stun/root abilities.

For opening you would use the bleed opening:

Expose Weakness -> Jagged Strike -> Foul Play -> Puncture -> 5pt Impale -> Malicious Strike

Which would leave them bleeding out a really whole lot of damage from the 3 bleeds that you got for sure and probably 1-3 more bleeds from Serrated Blades.

Keep leaning on them with savage strikes and final blows until they use an escape. If they manage to sneak away then you can shadow stalk/assault them and keep beating them down (with +15% crit/damage). If they manage to survive for 18+ seconds you can use Slip Away and hit them with the opener again and bleed them out (use Blinding Powder for the setup if you need it).

Obviously I don't have experience with it at 50, but it seems like it could be a pretty brutal assault from stealth, one that would be hard to match with any other class besides assassin.

I had a similar build at lvl 42 and found it to be very effective. When ever I focused on a healer in the WF's they died. Seemed like a good build for mine. Sure it wasn't as easy as the sab build I had, but I'd rather play a class that requires a bit of work than mash my way through a game.

This may seem a bit crazy but I was running with three builds and switching between them as the situation required and I found the sin build to be the most enjoyable.
