Akryon's mirror OR Golem acuator???
I'm curious which trinket is the best for rogue tanks and why. Most people seem to immediately say that the mirror is far and away the best but I am just not totally sold on it's superiority yet.

Neither. The shield trinket off of garau or maelforge eggs is best.

end 30 = more hp " 586 more for my build with buffs on.
shouldnt really have to worry about shields or self healing unless your healers really suck at thier job.
but out of the 2 you listed the mirror is better.

I would agree about the healing, but not the shielding, as the shielding from a WoW is never wasted.

Between the two you suggested I would take the Mirror. You'd probably get the full benefit of it in ID with how hard things hit you.
That makes it less useful, not more. When incoming tank damage goes up, healers are forced to top off the tanks faster and faster, which means that you actually spend more time at full health, wasting the proc on overhealing. When tank damage is lower, it's safe to leave the tank at mid-range HP, and if you're rarely at full, there's little overhealing.

PVP for a while until HP doesnt make much different. Then I guess Shield Trinket? Hard to pass up the 30 endurance. Then again on fight with adds Shield Trinket it great but really I dont like it to much on ST fights. Raw HP is pretty tough to pass up.

I've never seen it have one. I've seen it refresh itself well before it wears off. That being said I estimate around a 75-90% uptime on the trinket itself. I prefer Way of Water myself.
OP, never ever take a heal trinket over something that gives avoidance or shields. The mirror is wasted if you're not soloing. Heals are up to your healers/raid healers to take care of. A trinket or essence healing you is wasted over heals that are doing absolutely nothing to benefit you.
Think about it this way, would you rather heal through damage or mitigate it up front? More dodge, shield procs, or any other form of avoidance outweighs healing yourself 100 to 1.
If its between the mirror and actuator i would take the dodge unless your somehow capped since mirror heals IMO are watsed. you should grind the conquest trinekt tank and dps gogo!

I'd say the CQ Trinket is the best bet now. Its not hard to grind out, just takes a few days if you are lazy. Gives a ton of stats that are useful. Probably the best of both worlds.
I guess I should of been more clear. What I meant is the 30 endurance on the PVP Trinket is the smartest choice for progression fights. A few months from now as our groups become better and used to all the encounters more the 30 endurance may be trivial. The other stats for our Dodge/Parry/Reflect which is around .75% difference is negligible. For now the 30 endurance is what you are going to want.
As far as actuator goes... its a piece of ****. 1% or so dodge is **** all.
To sum it up. PVP Conquest Trinket >> Way of Water
