Just to add please be careful with "fixing" diffuse don't screw it up as it helps quite a bit in ID with adds on a certain boss in meeting a very tight dps check and controlling adds
Or better yet allow the pet to get the buff along with the rogue like most ranger buffs

Do you just mean the visual buff or do you mean the pet should get the immunity as well? If you meant the former, just out of curiosity, why? If you meant the latter, the ability is designed to redirect damage done to the rogue to the pet, if it did nothing to either, rangers would have a 10 second immunity with no DPS loss which could be a tiny tiny bit OP.

I think he meant: let the pet get the Shadow Fire buff as well as the player.

Seriously though, you guys can get yourselves pillaging stone stacks from a mage if you use diffuse.
srsly though.. it shouldn't be that way.. unlike mages.. Rogues seem to prefer getting their dps numbers by earning them.. by using skill, and not by exploiting the system.. FYI, if u dual in raid during buffs I don't rebuff you, should have been paying attention during raid buffs. infact.. pssst, dev, why hasn't the manipulation of deuling before each pull to stack stone buffs been removed? like rogue, everybody should lose all abilitypoint/charge stacks when combat is over/when on a new target. Many don't understand that.. as a rogue we must start fresh on each target.. at upwards of 6gcd per rotation and 15-20 seconds before full dps is realised in some specs...
2 mins sounds extreme.. and about 1minute and 52 seconds off..

So it can take up a spot in your ability bar and stay forever unused. That's after you've realised it doesn't help you on anything it should to make it remotely useful as an "oh-crap"-button.
Edit: It lets you use crap but not ****, even thought both denote the exact same thing? *scratches his head*

I think the issue behind why it doesn't work for boss mechanics is that although the buff disappears if your pet dies, the first hit is still essentially an immune as the overkill on your pet is not transferred to you as it should be. I can't imagine that would be terribly difficult to fix, nor could I imagine it would be OP if fixed and allowed on boss mechanics. It would essentially be a shield for your pet's health (around 5k); I wouldn't exactly call that game-breaking.
