Rogue tanking not what it used to be???

I was off playing BF3 for the past few months and I haven't played my rogue in a while anyway. So I hopped back in for some quick random experst and something seems to be waaaaay off. Did we get nerfed? I am in full t1 raid tank gear with the RS crystal and I am taking huge damage and my agro is for crap now. I used to be able to Shift and get agro, now I am hitting the same mob with all three target Shifts and nothing happens. Its like the threat part is gone, I am thinking about replacing my tank heal trinket with a threat one.

I just feel like I am spending more time managing my defensive capabilities than I am managing agro and whats really annoying is that my agro seems to have dropped off at the same time.

Rogues are much than previous patches. The problem lies with you (the OP).

You forgot Guardian Phase.

Jk, but we gained deflect that work like block, also deflect itemization, more 5% endurance in our synergy crsytal, that was useless before. We're much better now.

Yep, far more interesting to play rogue tank. My rogue and war tanks are both in the same full T1 raid gear and while the war tank is better at tanking in every way, its pretty dull because it's better in every way. There is not much thinking to it; run in, AE, port ranged, AE some more, lather rinse repeat. It gets pretty dull tbh.

What are you guys running for PA? I am in the air tree for the dexterity on one handers. I figured the extra dex would help with threat through damage.

Your damage will still be crap. Pick up the 30 Dex enchantment from tier 2 though.

Question i'm wondering whats better 7 brd -vs- 7 DB in the 51pt build? The armor & 10% health seem better than 5% dodge.

i go 10 in bd! it gives you anoter aoe finisher for agro another multiple \target builder and sidesteps for those oh sh*t moments plus flash of steel for a catch up if one got away . bard should never be in any tank build
