    Default Patch wording: rift barrier

Patch #4: Rift Barrier no longer redirects damage dealt by abilities that cannot be reflected.
Patch #5: Once again works on reflectable abilities. Rift Barrier now properly caps the amount of damage that can be reflected.

Poor wording, or does the patch really not put back the ability to redirect damage by abilities that cannot be reflected?

Yes, it can reflect everything it could previously, but now it cant reflect more than a surtain number. So even if you get hit for 10 million, it might only do max 10k damage back.

What he said. The wording specifically means that a rogue tank can no longer reflect attack damage that would typically be a 1-shot kill or survive/reflect insane damage back to the target.

Any idea what the cap is on the amount of damage that can be reflected?

The amount of damage absorbed by Rift Shield, presumably. Perhaps excluding overkill damage.

The wording is bad on patch notes, as it often is, because whoever wrote the notes obviously doesn't play the game. However, the first thing I did when I logged in is test it around EI and Rift Barrier does seem to be working correctly.

too bad the wording for virtuoso would lead one to believe they can spam any finisher for 15 seconds.. sadly this is not the case, bard finishers only.

I like it when an ability forces bards to be good.
