Upcoming Rogue changes for 1.7

It scales better than BS with 4 piece HK sin crystal. You likely are using an incorrect rotation/macros which you cannot use and get good DPS in BD spec. You must maintain 2 QS/PS per DD buff at all times as your highest priority. with 4 piece HK crystal, BaSP and DC have AP scaling on the order of 2-3x BS. The other two are on the order of 1.5x BS.

puncture works pretty well with deadly dance as well, havnt spread sheeted it, but i do try to work it in to every third dance or so.

qs/ps -> keen -> puncture -> keen -> ds

(if it is precision strike, you dont need the extra keen)

But even with a perfect rotation , there is a difference of 20% with BS.

And trust me , i know how to play rogue. World first on sicaron without relic weapon man.

If you are 20-30% behind BS with 51BD then you are doing it wrong.

No there isn't, it is currently in the 10% range raid buffed.

BFD, RNG is RNG. Sicaron is, has been, and always will be a pointless boss for parse wars.

puncture is a DPS loss with BD both for spec and damage reasons. And you always need a keen before DS or you are doing it wrong.

Its a waist of a point though. If you are running 51 BD/10Sin and either 5 NB or RS (which i have found to be more dps than 10mm/5rs) you are better served putting points into serrated blades and murderous intent. Puncture is not worth taking when you are so deep into BD IMO, QS/PS have too much AP scaling.

Puncture > 2% damage.

2x Keen Strike is a horrible, horrible DPS loss. You just run a 6 CP rotation every other rotation.

it is an issue of AP scaling. Once you are over a certain base threshold of AP, 10MM/5RS provides far higher damage. It is hard to overcome 9x-27x multiplicative scaling.

What is the AP where Puncture becomes less damage? I am sitting at 1.3k, should I pull Puncture out of my rotation and use the point else where now?

I also think it will improve BD aoe, and the armor penetration might be enough to make BD competitive ST dps.

And as far as i can see , Bs will always be the top dps spec.
