Well I am betting a friend a bottle of scotch that Warriors lose spotters come 1.6 as a way of dealing with this issue and NOT having to give similar utility to Rogues etc. Why? Anyone else notice that currently on PTS Archons have had Spotters literally cut and pasted onto them? Makes you wonder doesn't it?

Actually I think if they just gave a spotters ability to another class it would be fine. Change Wild growth so you can keep it up 100% or something. Then War tanks wouldn't be unique snowflakes anymore.
And I may have to take back that comment...I'm tanking him this week.

Warrior dev response to a "Where art thou?" thread:
Rogue dev response to a "Where art thou?" thread:I am still here reading the forums, though sometimes it does take a while to respond. I am currently still going through bugs that people are reporting on the forum and hunting them down for termination. The threads that the forum community regularly puts up listing issues that concern them has been of immeasurable usefulness to me and I hope you will all continue in that effort.
I may not be able to respond to every issue as I am working through, but rest assured I will be looking at them even if I don't poke my head up to say that I am. For example, I am currently spending a lot of time on threat, but I won't be able to respond to every threat based thread that pops up. So I will leave it at this. We are aware that threat generation is having issues in scalability and in the ability for tanks to quickly grab a lot of threat on a group of mobs. We are also aware that currently the only real way to do this is with Spotter's Orders, and while that is a useful tool we would like to spread the usefullness out to other Souls and Abilities.
Truly fits the classes, no?Yes. I'm watching. So keep posting your feedback.

Reminds me of when I was in school, sleeping, and a teacher would call on me. Cut to fumbling for an excuse.
So, I was one of the first big-time theory-crafting Riftstalkers here on these boards. Just started playing again after a 5 month hiatus. God lord have things gotten better. While I haven't gotten back into end-game, I must say things have drastically improved since my last time here.
I should probably remove the links in my signature at some point, so outdated.

Not trying to knock you at all, I agree Matron puts out big melee hits at high stacks. However, if you look at your own parse, you died twice during the encounter and both deaths were due to a sequence of melee hits from the 30 adds as I hinted at in my first post. The death timestamps under your name show this. You didn't seem to have any problem whatsoever with the heavy/slow melee hits from Maton herself in the case you referenced.
In our experience, if you just save side steps for every add phase, then pop planar refuge a few seconds later to overlap them you'll never die.
Also, I'm not saying a warrior or cleric can't tank every encounter a RS can. The point is that a RS is arguably the best choice for progression on the fights I mentioned.
Edit: here is the link to your death timestamps if that wasn't already made clear: http://www.raidrifts.com/report/view...511454/559180/

That's mostly cause I'm an idiot and taunted at the wrong time.
I hardly ever tank anymore so I screwed up. I didn't die from adds. I died because I was tanking matron while tanking adds.
Like I said you're sposed to switch tanks when adds spawn, it was simply my mistake. It was only one death too, thank you very much!
