"Spam" when talking about pvp, doesn't sound any good to me, whatever the specc, whatever the callings...
Especially when ppl add "AoE" juste behind : it goes with poor damage, CC breaking, immunity spreading, getting focus X times faster (X being the number of ppl you are hitting...)

Ofc an aoe disease is nicer than a single target one, just don't spam it like brainless ppl...

There's a time and place for everything. If you don't know that, and know why Fan Out gets so much use in a WF, then you need to L2play.

Ye and I don't get what does the OP mean with "Good rogue with SIN". without sin you can't kill others? no marksman have any point in Sin anymore? 51 sin is the way to be a "good rogue" in WF? (<-roflē

It's kind of hilarious (and ridiculous).

I would say 8 or 9 out of every 10 rogues I run into in warfronts just spams Fan Out. Some of them don't even spam Eradicate anymore. ;)

The odd rogue is rolling around in a melee spec, which were the ones that were actually threatening unless we were really healer light, and I think I might be the only bard left in Deepstrike's wargroup.

Even the rogues who I used to think of as a thread or being pretty good (including a few in my guild) just seem to spam Fan Out 2 Win and rack up the kills.

Fan Out hits hard now compared to before. I topped dmg in a WF with it course I did some single target as well but had guardians locked up on their spawn area so I used Fan Out mostly. Either way it could be noobish but I was 3 kills from top in KBs and one of the others that beat me was 2nd in dmg and 2nd in KBs and he was MM. Can't vouch if it was Fan Out but some of it had to be.

Like others side there are times to use it and times not too.

Fan Out spam has it's place.

Just yesterday I was running in a 4 rogue premade (just happened to be what we had it wasn't entended that way). We ran into a double premade in Library that had tons of Mages that were AoE'ing and healing. Our side had next to no healing so we were all getting chopped down pretty easily even though our premade was chewing up targets with good focus fire. So two of us Rogues switched to MM,maybe a third can't remember, and we started doing some organized Fan out spamming and it changed the tide of the battle. We won easily.

With the dmg of Fan out and the heal debuff spreading you can watch targets HP drop steadily if working with others doing the same. Sure if you are the only one doing it the dmg can easily be out healed by AoE heals but when you work with others it can be deadly. Would a single target drop faster with two rogues focusing them? Yes sure, but you get the added survivability increase from Vampiric and teams panic when they watch 5 or 6 people all steadily dropping HP and they can't keep up with everyone just with AoE heals. Switch to single target heals and the others start dropping faster. Now spreading out more would be an easy counter but people pack together in Library because of the layout.

Fan Out has other uses than topping damage in WFs. It also knocks enemy rogues out of stealth, even if they're not in combat.

It's a bug, and I hope they fix it soon.

Whether or not they continue to use Fan Out, I don't care. I just ask that folks continue to run tons of MM's in the warfronts. As a melee rogue, they are my favorite (easiest) kill, and I appreciate the boost to my ego. Thanks!

Mass heal debuff does nothing if it doesn't hit the target your team is focusing. also it takes ur dps off the target that is being focused allowing him to live longer and them to kill your team faster. You lose. Returned health is about as much heals as a heal pot. Nothing compared to mage, cleric, or even warrior self heals.

If you are geared, & build is strong, fanout compares very closely aoe wise to them haha....& I know this for a fact as I actually play multi classes.

I don't see why it's a bug. Like any aoe damage that pops you out of stealth

If you stand close enough to the range effect of Fan out (about 35 degree in front of MM) or any other type of aoe, of course it will pop you out of stealth. However, you have small chance to parry/dodge/resist to prevent to be popped out of stealth.

So if you are in stealth or try to stealth, dont stay with the pack.
