Rangers "Eagle Eye" and Assassins "Ruthlessness" (5% crit) not stacking?!

i figured they stacked, couldnt see nb doing more dmg with 6 ranger vs 5 RS if it didnt stack, cause 15% AP > 46 AP (the only other difference), and parses show that the 6ranger build does more dmg self-buffed than 5rs. (to those who dont know, that build has the crit from assassin as well)

Eventually the 15% atp will overcome the % crit when you reach the crit/atp dynamic threshold. Crit essentially causes Atp to scale better than more crit at a point.

Then go respec, take only the assassin and ranger talents. Use grey vendor weapons and attack a dummy for an hour while making dinner or watching a movie.

Your base crit % is around 2 %. You should end up with 12%. I know I have on several parses.

Well he is wrong, they do stack. I have around 32 on my paperdoll, my parses average 37% crit because I use 5% crit poison.

It is indeed common to NB builds, luckily he was referencing 51ranger/15nb build, which the "stacking" problem poses no problem.

But, this is all moot, they stack, paper doll naked was 13.94%, crit ended up at 13% after 300k damage of testing. The garbage being spewed on the forums in this game is depressing.

Just reviving this thread as I'm curious if anyone else has tested. I'm approaching the level where I'll need to know for a Marks dps build for raiding. I'm still in my low 40s and no practice dummy exists for me yet :P

A couple of thoughts come to mind:

- Could it be there's a crit cap where crit weapon and crit abilities/talents will just level off somewhere in the 30s?

- I assume all these tests were done using the normal level 50 practice dummy and not the boss practice dummy (since the boss has more 'levels' on you)?

By the way, I know someone commented on this, but I'd just like to make sure: Poison weapon spells from sins DO proc with ranged marks or ranger attacks, right?
