    Hey all,

    Another small update on some changes in the works:
    • Increase the base chance for Fireball to proc Combust to 40%.
    • Improved Combustion now increases the chance for Fireball to proc Combust by 20/40/60%.
    • Pyromancer's Armor can proc an additional Fireball once every 4s instead of once every 5s.
    • The debuff from Rending Slash increases damage by 3% per stack. Up from 2%.
    • Damaging abilities granted by Possession are getting a buff so its not a DPS loss to use.

    Not trying to be mean or hatefull. I am very passionate(addicted) about the mage class and rift in general. The only reason i had a alt pre expansion was to forage and mine stuff to feed to my mage main ,

    Pyro is already the highest DPS mage soul. Why not give some love to the less used souls and create some variety?

    Chloro could use some love as well as Dominator, Stormcaller and Archon?

    Loving the change to charge!


    I suggest this:

    Chloromancer
    • Healing Balance - Reduces the global cooldown of non-damaging abilities and damaging life spells


    Also, not sure if this is intended, but Essence Conversion gets the 1.5 GCD. Even though it technically is a damaging spell (it damages yourself) I don't think it should be considered one. If it's intended that way, then you can consider this a suggestion to change it.

    This is kind of like when assassin damage got buffed. PvP board lost their freaking minds.

    Chloro, Dom and Archon are all fine.
    Chloro will be seeing attention when they 'fix' the bug. Till then pretending like there's something wrong or weak about it is naive at best. Dom's burst aoe is insane and it's support abilities are strong, it's just fine. Archon is prefered over BM and can pull great dps numbers and/or add in added support, it's just fine.

    SC could really use mobility enhancement (making forked lightning instant cast would help here, though it should be deep in the tree).

    Pyro isn't. (these changes help target switching and low dps concerns)
    Lock isn't. (previous mentioned changes help target switching and low dps concerns)
    Necro and Ele aren't. (there's a pattern building here...)

    And realistically the 'highest dps mage soul' is harb.

    The biggest issue I have with my mage right now is pet scaling. I'm starting to get some purples finally, and the drop off is glaringly obvious.
    Imagine my surprise! I get into Rift and... as one might expect, I demand its valuables and treasure. To my horror and outright offense, it refused. Really? Forsooth?!

    Move or place our range increase in a dps soul like all the other classes.

    Possibly switch it with vitality from the warlock soul.

    that's some nice changes thankyou kervick

    while you are changing things around would you consider changing sacrifice life: damage so that it doesn't grey out when contaminate is active

    empowered darkness does not stack with contaminate but can still be cast and will auto knock off the contaminate buff

    sl:d does not stack with contaminate and greys out so it cannot be cast without first manually removing contaminate, would be nice if it just worked the same way empowered darkness does

    Honestly, the most change we r in dire need atm is some sort of mobility towards archon. Fights that involve lots of movement, archon falls behind (DPS and Buffs wise).

    Was wondering if we can get some sort of enhanced mobility. A CD that reduces our cast time, or makes some skills instant or something.

    Beside that, I dont see the need behind 3 Mana Regens for Archon (beside ofc Mental Flare). 5 points in Exhilaration or just even Leeching Flames keeps the archon at a steady 100% mana. Was wondering if we can lose Steadfast Return and get another mana regen like Mental Flare, either AoE or just Single target.
