    Default Help with 36/30 Pyro/Lock (using Withering Flames)

    Hi, i read some comments about the new 36/30 Pyrolock build using Withering Flames, but didnt find any rotations. Can someone please post the build and rotation? Im trying some thins, but im not sure if im doing it right:

    1.SL On
    2.Flame Bolt => 5x Pillaging Stone
    3.Flame Bolt => IC On => Heat Wave macro
    4.SL On
    5.Flame Bolt => Countdown => Life Leech => Dark Touch
    6.Withering Flames (if charge is 80+, if not, Flame Bolt macro then WF)
    7.Need help from here

    only useful in a 51 pyro build, dont get a 51 pyro build.

    I've always found withering flames to be a DPS gain... the only thing I always pay attention to is that there are 3 stacks of combust up, flame bolt buff is up and a 20% bonus (from IC or SLD) is up.

    I haven't specifically tested it as of 1.8 though.... but seeing how nothing really has changed, I don't see why it should be any different.

    7. Respec 38/28, get practice with it and don't use withering flames because you don't have it XD

    On that note...withering flames would be a good spell to bump if Kervik ever intends us to have another viable ST spec.

    In all seriousness, I would not use it unless you lose all your combust stacks... which I don't think is possible in the 36/30 if you use flamebolt religously.

    It's only worth using Withering Flames if Combust is already up. Using the spell for the sake of gaining Combust is not worth it compared to waiting a few seconds to get the Combust from the new Fireball/Flame bolt casts.

    WF #1: When SL is up, you have charge, Combust and DOTs are rolling. With practise you'll get better with timing. If you can't manage to squeeze it in during a SL uptime just don't.
    WF #2: Short burns (for example MC on Conclave).

    Kervik is a warlock if you dont enjoy dmg over time dps specs and enjoy bursty nuking specs (the other spectrum of mage playstile) you are SOL and rift is not for you! we havent had anything but DOT specs be viable since 1.6 play 38/28 or go support/heals

    If you cannot burst as Mage you're bad, just that simple. Generalised statements are generally... stupid and false.
    I do just fine on any encounter where burst is needed.

    SL: D has changed. It now has the same cooldown as WF, 30 seconds.

    I find WF dps loss my self if u have 4p synergy.

    All WF does is put the 3 stacks of combust on ur enemy, which happens from Flamebolt or fireballs spam.

    The only time i would use WF, is when switching targets and want to place Countdown, since u lose a lot of dps from countdown if u dont have 3 stacks of combust up..

    in a normal ST rotation, i dont have WF on my hotbars.
