cleric reveal better be epic!!!!

My original post was to the guy saying that all other classes are fine with everything and just looking forward to the new souls. That was too ignorant to not respond on it for me.

Now have a little more reading comprehension. Thanks. Especially in these quickly written posts. My post you are referring to states:

It is kinda sad. The other classes look forward to what new soul they will get. The cleric however just hopes they make what souls we have work just as good as all the other calling's souls.

I do have HIGH HOPES though, the mage soul has me excited about it and the possibility for the cleric revamps and new soul.

It does not say the other classes souls are all fine. It just states that while the other classes are looking forward to their new soul the cleric is left wondering if our old souls are going to be made just as functional as all the other classes' souls.

The fact is the cleric already has four non-functioning DPS souls. None of which match up to the other classes souls. So I state again that the other classes are looking forward to their new souls the cleric class just hopes they make our old souls work just as good as the the classes. If they make our "old" souls actually work it would be like getting a whole new role and four classes to play that role.

Now look in this thread from the cleric boards titled "New Soul in Storm Legion."

Notice the excitement and guessing about what the new soul will be? If you say you can then you are blind - Most of the posts in there are made generally hoping they fix our current souls. Now while your there just glance over the titles of the other posts in our forum. I bet you notice a common theme. We are noted throughout the world for our QQ, but speaking from a DPS perspective, I believe our QQ is warranted.

Now just do the same for the mage, the warrior, and the rogue forums.

Rogues seem most excited. Warriors are in a state of waiting and wondering how their new soul will measure up.

Mages, well, they are still discussing the new soul - screen shots and all. Seems to be quite a few posts discussing the new soul and very few discussing problems with specific souls or the lack of DPS options in general for the mage. Again, just in case you fail to comprehend, I am not saying their are not any problems with the mage souls but I am trying to say is the mage community in general was and is very excited about their new soul while the cleric community is suspicious about the our new soul and its abilities or lack of abilities and are generally more worried about whether all of our old souls are going to be able to perfrom their role like every other class.

Now taking all this in consideration. I believe I am ok saying that the cleric community is more worried about the revamp of our current souls rather than what new soul we may get. I'll stick with my original statement in full; Now try not to read more in to it than I had written there ok?

Looks like a Shield in the picture which pretty much puts it at 99% chance it will be a tank soul. I'd like to hear Zib try to jazz up how this soul is gonna revolutionize how you taunt a mob or take a hit.

I wouldn't expect every talent and damage value you saw in the reveal to make it to live guys
These classes are in flux and being worked on. The most important part right now is - "Make it fun". Then comes the balance.

Preference. I would rather have a new and exiting way to DPS than a new and exiting way to heal. Of course I would also rather have a new and exiting way to do something that isn't DPS, tank, or heal.

I wouldn't mind some type of battle healer with decent damage that isn't some kind of icar lol. Kinda excited though that the greyed out background has a shield, I am thinking something like what the mages got, a buff that gives us the shield appearance that's probably defensive in nature or maybe we will actually get shields with sp or talents that increase our overall sp by a certain % when wearing a shield. I dont know about others but I have always wanted to pimp a shield but not lose a ton of sp to do so.

That is excellent news, sorry for dragging that out of you but yeah, high expectations for this class with the expansion =) I hope it's not a support soul either, sorry but such a thing doesn't really appeal that much to me.

Well, depends how much of an overhaul there is, if the souls still basically play the same then you have to admit a damage soul would be the most exciting addition. Healing wise, if DOL is still sitting there being the most efective healing spell in the game then it's going to be hard t get too excited if we're all still running Senticars for every encounter in the game.
