I'm using the Focus rune right now, and have a few of the Strength runes in the bank, but when I get the focus and am nearing the Block soft cap, what rune should I slap on it?

2014. Where will you be?
Your glorified faction runes will be best (mathos, dragonslayer, ect) radak has a complete list in his guide I believe.
I also made other enhancements to certain aspects of the game for various reasons.

I use the +9 SP ones for weaps, pretty sure thats the best (str ones might be quite good too @ more block but less heal/dmg/agro)
Ya I misunderstood. I say sp since u are near the block soft cap. The sp will help threat, healing, and add a small amount to dodge, parry and block as well.

10str is the best weapon enchant for cleric tanks, it is better than spell power, even if you are over the block soft cap. Sadly, strength still gives higher mitigation than spell power even after the block soft cap.
Oh and esphryl, in your post, you neglected to mention for which piece of gear you wanted the enchant on. After Denal mentioned your faction rep enchants, u told him they dont have weapon enchants, which was the first time you mentioned which piece of gear you wanted it for![]()

I'm not sure how well geared you are, but I seem to recall that a +10 Dex rune would be slightly better than the Str rune if you're past the block softcap. Or maybe that was disproved. Either way, 10 Str beats the heck out of anything in the magical-stat category.
In a perfect world, I'd say to use Windshielding Rune, but not only does that need at least three mobs to have any respectable amount of uptime, half the rune is wasted because of the parry cap.
Personally? I'm incredibly lazy and just use SP/Wis for everything, and pretend that better self-heals and shields makes up for the lost mitigation. Maybe they'll fix cleric tank itemization in 1.6. I hear it's supposed to be the tank patch.
Cleric tanks that use strength runes are bad.
As much wisdom and spell power as you can get and you win.
(Lessers sometimes vary)

I actually decided to rune my tanking weapon with +wisdom, because I didn't want to follow the trend, and to be different.
I am glad to say that I can't recall anyone dying due to having this rune on my weapon when in 5 man dungeons.

I would certainly have to agree with you that your weapon enchant wont have much impact in a 5 man dungeon, since you could tank that with a 2h, or even in full dps gear and probably be just fine. In fact, I bet you could even tank a level 12 mob and not die with that enchant on your weapon.
Now when it comes to ensuring that every piece of gear, every lesser, and every enchant, gives you the highest possible damage mitigation, for difficult, progression encounters, then strength is the best enchant for your weapon.
