We were the weakest except for that blissful time of deadly bane warding. I remember standing there, simply refreshing my wards occassionally throwing a DoT, sicing dog dog on him while I watched the rangers, SKs whatever simply kill themselves as they proc'd my damage shield. Ahh the day

I think you should base your opinions on 1 person and then present them to the community.

This I thinks is really a PvP issue. As such I do not necessarily believe a better cleanse mechanic is in order as much as simply a PvP mechanic change. If people are really having such issues reduce certain debuffs effectiveness on players. I say this because it could well be that the devs feel that abilities like curative waters or steralize along with regular cleanses is adequete. Now I am not saying it necessarily is but if you go too far in dealing with it from the cleanse side rather than the effectiveness of debuff side you essentially bar certain souls from PvP due to their dependancy on cleanseable effects.

archon = chain cast aoe cleanses on 10 targets
cleric (supposedly the premier healer) = cannot aoe cleanse unless he specs specifically for it and it has a 10 sec cd.

    just wow.....

It just keeps getting worse for us. Not only do we not scale as well when it comes to raid healing, we also can't even cleanse as well as a mage.

this is even worse in pvp when healing debuffs keep getting applied every hit, and we don't get a counter? really??

Seriously. I'm not even trolling. And i REALLY wish I was.

We don't even get top dps to compensate and we got a hit to sheild of faith. Whoopee.

gimped so hard it actually makes me angry. why would zibnik do this?

    Nope.jpg

The cooldowns on them is not useful for pvp. and in pve there are sometimes 2 debuffs on multiple people that need to be cleansed. Going through them 1 at a time per person is not effective healing. Nor is it acceptable with the current level of utility clerics have (next to none it seems nowadays)

The problem is if u remove the cure bot mechanic and you completely invalidate certain souls in PvP. That is why for PvP it is simply better to modify the most troubling debuffs. It's simply aroggant for me to say "sorry sabo but you are now completely useless in PvP due to the fact that I can cleanse your charges with no effort."

As for PvE if you are having an issue with cures there I don't know what to say. I do not exaggerate when I say curing in this game, vs EQ2, feels like a vacation. Heck in EQ2 I used the Profit UI here I just have mouse over macros and it is still a vacation.

...uphill both ways in blinding snow and boiling temperatures.

Fun should enter the equation at some point, I think. Perhaps I'm wrong about that.
