Best times to hit frenzied strike? Is it possible to hit one right before your first CB, if you hit it after your Desruptive Strike critted?

Yes you hit frenzied strike just as cb is coming off cd.

Been tops on the AoE meters with 51/13/2. It's been a week since I deleted 51/9/6 so I wanted to come in here to confirm. You never know until you raid HK/ID how 51/13/2 will perform. There is no downtime at all since you are not stopping then swapping roles. I've simplified the AoE macro and I think you guys should use this.

The only AoE spec that will deal more dps than 51/13/2 is 51CH/10Para/5RB and that is the optimal AoE spec.

You can't change crystals in combat. We all need to anticipate when an AoE trash pull is coming or if an encounter such as Aklyios requires you to switch to Champ Crystal.

I haven't noticed. It's only abilities that proc and has a global cooldown.

You also need a Power Strike single target builder macro for AoE fights with single target situations (Aky, Matron, Zilas, Maklamos). I just drag the crystals to my hotbar and switch them and my single target builder manually.

I do that too. Pretty cool how we manufactured two builds into one role.

So lets say I swap to champ crystal on Akylios with 13/2. The rotation would be the same, except for Power Strike over Fierce Strike, will the finishers change too? Talking specifically for when you get to akylios spawning and single targeting him.

On Akylios the finishers are the same. You do lose a little single target dps without BM crystal but you make it up a little with Cornered Beast with Champ Crystal. CB does hit Akylios.

In the case of 13/2 using champ crystal for ST/AoE fights, wouldnt it be more prudent to use Bladefury is the filler finisher instead of earthburst/icy burst for the +20% gain, or does the GCD make it not able to squeeze into the TS + FB rotation? i ask cause i havent tried, and sounds like it would result in only 1-2 seconds of downtime on TS.

Additionally, with no BM crystal, would an FB/BF spam rotation for single target net higher results ?

Off globals such as Earth Burst, Fiery Burst, Icy Burst still deal more dps. Then you are left with Bladefury with Champ Crystal vs Tearing Slash without BM crystal. Tearing Slash still beats it out single target and each bleed tick can crit. Yes I have tested this.

On the flip side, 51/13/2 (with Champ crystal) using Power Strike, Tearing Slash, Cornered Beast and the other Riftblade finishers in the same single target rotation deals the same, if not better, single target dps as 51/9/6 (with Champ crystal). Funny huh?

Yeah, this is the main point here. This does better single target than the other AoE spec (51/9/6) and equivalent (maybe slighter higher) AoE. It's defintely a slightly harder rotation than 51/9/6, but that's perfect. Slightly harder rotation, slightly more DPS. Win-Win.
