    1.1 - Introduction:

This spec will parse the highest as of 8/14. At the current moment this spec is leading BM by 200-400 DPS. I would like to give credit to Frootloops for inspiring me to make this macro setup/build. There are many different ways to macro your rotation, but I believe this macro setup will give you the most DPS. Here are a few sample parses from a Sicaron Kill on 9/21/11: Raid Rifts - ACT. Please feel free to contact me with any feedback, questions, or theorycrafting on my character Valthirus (on Seastone as a Guardian).

If you have the HK 2 Set bonus this will also be the best AOE DPS Spec.

I do now have a video of this rotation and it is located on my Youtube Channel.

    1.2 - FAQ:

Q: What is the best parsing Single Target DPS Spec?
A: If done correctly, this spec will parse the highest (some fights being an exception).

Q: What is the best parsing AOE DPS Spec?
A: BM is the highest AOE DPS at the current moment (with no Synergy Crystal). With the Champion Synergy Crystal from HK, Rising Waterfall will also be the best AOE Spec since the 2 set Synergy bonus allows Bladefury to be spammed.

Q: What is the 4 set rotation?
A: Same spec and swap Power Strike for Mighty Blow.

Q: Should I spam Fiery Burst?
A: Yes. 3 Fiery Burst per rotation while you are above 30 power. Try to do 2 Fiery Bursts when you are around 40 after doing a 3 point on your first Fiery Burst.

Q: Should I keep Rising Waterfall and Power Strike in the same Macro and how much DPS will I lose from doing this?
A: There have been many tests done with Rising Waterfall and Power Strike being in the same macro and results in a big DPS loss (100-200) due to Macro Lag (thanks Rizaz). If you want the most DPS - Use these Spec/Macros.

    Q: What do I do if I don't get a WM proc?
A: If you don't get a WM Proc then you should do 2 point Fiery Bursts in that SLI. Just ignore your WM procs.

Q: What should I be parsing?
A: Refer to 1.3 - What you should be parsing (Goals).

1.3 - What you should be parsing (Goals):

These are goals you should set for yourself using RW. Keep in mind gear can make a difference (100 higher/100 lower) as well as Crit RNG. These are very rough estimates on what you should be parsing. These parses are with 730 AP/930 Crit (no buffs). I've also included a Gear Guide below.

Gear/Stat Guide for interpretation of the Parse Goals:

Full T1 Dungeon Gear - Subtract the Goal Ranges by 300-400 each.

Full T2 Dungeon Gear - Subtract the Goal Range by 200-300 each.

Full T1 Raid Gear - Subtract the Goal Ranges by 100 each.

50% HK Gear - These goals were done with 50% HK Gear so you don't really need to adjust the goals.

4 set Mighty Blow - These goals are done with 4 set Mighty Blow. Subtract 200 if you don't have the 4 set.

100% HK Gear - Add 100 to your Goal Ranges.

Dummy Parse Goals with Fervour/Tablet (includes Crit RNG):

    44 DPS 2 Hander:

    30% Crit RNG: 1.5k - 1.6k DPS
    40% Crit RNG: 1.6k - 1.7k DPS
    50% Crit RNG: 1.7k - 1.8k DPS

    49 DPS 2 Hander:

    30% Crit RNG: 1.6k - 1.7k DPS
    40% Crit RNG: 1.7k - 1.8k DPS
    50% Crit RNG: 1.8k - 1.9k DPS

    58 DPS 2 Hander:

    30% Crit RNG: 1.8k - 1.9k DPS
    40% Crit RNG: 1.9k - 2k DPS
    50% Crit RNG: 2k - 2.1k DPS

Murdantix Parse Goals (depends on your tank a bit):

    44 DPS 2 Hander: 2.3k - 2.4k
    49 DPS Relic 2 Hander: 2.5 - 2.6k
    58 DPS HK 2 Hander: 2.8k - 2.9k
    64 DPS HK 2 Hander: 3.1k - 3.2k

Sicaron Parse Goals (if you get rotation down and you get no boxes):

    44 DPS 2 Hander: 3.1k - 3.2k
    49 DPS Relic 2 Hander: 3.4k - 3.5k
    58 DPS HK 2 Hander: 3.9k - 4k
    64 DPS Relic 2 Hander: 4.3k - 4.4k

    2.1 - 38 Paragon/26 Champion/2 Riftblade Spec:

    ZAM Soulbuilder Spec: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1c...bh.Aex0hVucM.b

    2.2 - Macros:

These are the macros that you use for the Rising Waterfall Spec. Macros are used to more efficiently manage rotations. Some skills in this build (Rising Waterfall/Mighty Blow/Bladefury) do not to be macroed due to the fact that there aren't any skills that need to be macroed with them.

    Power Strike:

    #show Power Strike
    suppressmacrofailures
loadequip # (whatever your 2 hand macro is)
    cast Power Strike
    cast frenzied strike

    Rising Waterfall:

Just have Rising Waterfall as a Skill (not a macro).

    Finisher:

    #show strike like iron
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast strike like iron
    cast fiery burst
    cast frenzied strike

    Shifting Blades:

    #show Shifting Blades
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast frenzied strike
    cast Shifting Blades

    AOE:

    #show Mighty Blow
    suppressmacrofailures
loadequip # (whatever your 2 hand macro is)
    cast Mighty Blow

AOE Followup (can be the same macro as your ranged follow up):

    #show Path of the hurricane
    suppressmacrofailures
loadequip # (whatever your DW loadequip is)
    cast path of the hurricane
    cast path of the raptor

    AOE Finisher:

    #show Bladefury
    suppressmacrofailures
loadequip # (whatever your 2 Hand loadequip is)
    cast Bladefury

Ranged DPS Builder (use this when you can't be in melee):

    #show path of the raptor
    suppressmacrofailures
loadequip # (refer to the tutorial below if you do not know what this is)
    cast path of the wind

    Ranged Followup:

    #show Path of the hurricane
    suppressmacrofailures
loadequip # (whatever your DW loadequip is)
    cast path of the hurricane
    cast path of the raptor

Melee DPS (use this when going back into melee):

loadequip # (refer to the tutorial below if you do not know what this is)

    2.3 - Loadequip Tutorial:

Loadequip is a quicker way of switching gear and weapons. In this build you will use loadequip in order to do more DPS at ranged. When saving or loading a build you must choose a number you would like the "equip" to be.

    Method A Thread:

This way of doing it makes it much easier. You can use your normal keys to use ranged attacks.

    http://forums.riftgame.com/rift-gene...2h-builds.html

    Method B Steps:

    1. Equip all your items that you would like to load. Once you have done this type the command "/saveequip 1" (or whatever number you wish to use).
    2. Make a macro called "loadequip 1" (or whatever number you used).

Make sure to repeat these steps in order to have an "equip" with Duel Wield weapons and one with a 2 Hand.

    2.4 - Skill Explanations:

Power Strike (PS) - Your Attack Point builder; this is used to proc Rising Waterfall. No Cooldown.
Rising Waterfall (RW) - Your Followup skill; use this after a Power Strike. No Cooldown.
Frenzied Strike (FS) - Your off GCD damage skill that is procced off a critical strike. 6 Second Cooldown.
Bash/Flinching Strike - Another off GCD damage skill that you only use manually (seperate key) while above 50 power (or whatever you feel comfortable with). Make sure to combine these skills in one macro. 6 Second Cooldown.
Fiery Burst (FB) - A finisher bleed tick; you will use 2 of these per Strike Like Iron (below) cycle. No Cooldown.
Strike Like Iron (SLI) - A big damage buff - It is vital that you refresh this whenever it comes off cooldown. 12 Second Cooldown.
Shifting Blades (SB) - Damage to your next 3 attacks. 15 Second cooldown.
Mighty Blow (MB) - Your AOE Attack Point builder. No Cooldown.
Bladefury (BF) - Your AOE Finisher. 8 Second Cooldown (4 with Bladefury Synergy Crystal).
Weapon Master (WM) - A 50% chance of generating a 2nd AP point.

    2.5 - Toggle Buffs:

Way of the Mountain (WOTM) - 30% damage bonus to follow ups (Rising Waterfall).
Storm Blade (SB) - A ticking damage bleed.
Slayer's Bearing (SB) - A 25% damage bonus to critical attacks.

3.1 - Single Target Rotation Cycle:

    Important:

Do not mash Power Strike. If Frenzied Strike comes off of cooldown you lose a RW proc.

(Starts after your first Strike Like Iron - SLI)

Power Strike -> Rising Waterfall -> Fiery Burst
Power Strike -> Rising Waterfall -> Power Strike -> Rising Waterfall -> Fiery Burst
Power Strike -> Rising Waterfall -> (Power Strike with no WM proc) -> Strike Like Iron

    Video of RW Rotation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MPqWVgdOT4

    3.2 - 1st Fiery Burst Rotation Explanation:

"Power Strike -> Rising Waterfall -> Fiery Burst"

1st Fiery Burst Explanation: Try to get your 1st Fiery Burst ASAP. - This is critical in order to not let Strike Like Iron drop off; If you don't get a Weapon Master Proc (50% chance for a 2nd AP point) then hit a 2 point Fiery Burst.

    3.3 - 2nd Fiery Burst Rotation Explanation:

"Power Strike -> Rising Waterfall -> Fiery Burst (When above 30 Power - Refer to FAQ) -> Power Strike -> Rising Waterfall -> Fiery Burst"

2nd Fiery Burst Explanation: With plenty of time before Strike Like Iron comes off cooldown go for 2 Rising Waterfalls. You should nail the first RW right before the half way mark and your 2nd before 75% of the SLI cooldown.
Also make sure to hit a 2nd/3rd Fiery Burst when you are above 30 power. It gives you an extra tick or so of Fiery Burst.

Note: If you do not make these time checks in time you will most likely end up with a clipped 4th RW in an SLI.

3.4 - Strike Like Iron (SLI) Explanation:

"Power Strike -> Rising Waterfall -> (Power Strike with no WM) -> Strike Like Iron"

SLI Explanation: Build 3 AP quickly in order to catch Stike Like Iron right as it comes off of cooldown. If you don't get a Weapon Master Proc (50% chance for a 2nd AP point) then go ahead and hit another PS OR a 2 Point SLI.

Tip: Hit SLI right as PS is about to come off cooldown to give you an extra 1-2 seconds in the next rotation.

3.5 - Single Target Rotation Cycle (with 4 set Champ crystal):

If your weapon DPS is fairly high or you are low on power then go to this alternative rotation. It is a big DPS increase - especially on Sicaron.

(Starts after your first Strike Like Iron - SLI)

Mighty Blow (IF WM procs - proceed in rotation - if not refer to 3 FB rotation below) -> Rising Waterfall -> Shifting Blades
Mighty Blow -> Rising Waterfall -> Bladefury
Mighty Blow -> Rising Waterfall -> SLI

Mighty Blow -> Rising Waterfall -> Fiery Burst
Mighty Blow -> Rising Waterfall -> Fiery Burst
Mighty Blow -> Rising Waterfall -> Fiery Burst
Mighty Blow -> Rising Waterfall -> SLI

3.6 - AOE Rotation Cycle (if you NEED to and you have no 2 Set HK Synergy Crystal):

(Starts after your first Strike Like Iron - SLI)

Mighty Blow -> POTH Follow Up Macro -> Bladefury
Mighty Blow -> Mighty Blow -> Fiery Burst
Mighty Blow -> POTH Follow Up Macro -> SLI

Mighty Blow -> Mighty Blow -> Bladefury
Mighty Blow -> POTH Follow Up Macro -> Fiery Burst
Mighty Blow -> Mighty Blow -> SLI

3.7 - AOE Rotation Cycle (With HK 2 Set Synergy):

(Starts after your first Strike Like Iron - SLI)

Mighty Blow -> POTH Follow Up Macro -> Bladefury
Mighty Blow -> Mighty Blow -> Bladefury
Mighty Blow -> POTH Follow Up Macro -> SLI

Mighty Blow -> Mighty Blow -> Bladefury
Mighty Blow -> POTH Follow Up Macro -> Bladefury
Mighty Blow -> Mighty Blow -> SLI

This is a pretty simple rotation. You want to be going for 2 Bladefury Finishers per SLI.

He couldn't edit the other thread anymore, there's like a couple month timer even for guide writers.

In your macro to swap to dual I see WotW is included but I don't see WotM included in any macro. I have WotM in my macro to swap back to 2 hand, is that wrong?
I also made other enhancements to certain aspects of the game for various reasons.

Its only his "change to ranged" macro.

from my experience from DWing i can tell you WotM even in this spec for range will be better than WotW. WotW just does not scale very well.

@Val: you suggest using SB anytime, or only if you have 3 APs? until now i only used SB if MB procced a wm. this is not really obvious in you rotation writeup

if by WotW you mean Path of the Wind, for the macro, its bc thats his "range" macro, and POTW is a ranged attack. Most likely it will never go off though.

Can we get a baseline for what is considered "high weapon dps" for the SB rotation? I currently have, for example, Estrode's sword, all the sword PAs from earth and fire(t1 and t2), all tier1 2H from death and air.

I have grug axe, only full t1 pa and see a dps increase with 3point sli and SB, (about 50-80 or so depending on RNG), on sicaron using it straight out nets dps also. so with your pa with 3 point SB will be a dps increase, i think it was worked out that with HK epic wep you need full t1 and t2 PA aswell as an oilstone for the rotation to be of any effectiveness.

from my experience maxed t1 PAs in 2hand and weapon is sufficent with a HK 2hander.

Can some expert with this build, rotation post a base line parse with self buff only? I am geared to 320 hit, and parsed around 1.7k with pvp rank 8 2 hander. But I did not quite follow the rotations. I just have all spams in 1 macro, sli and burst in another.

Isn't a full macro a huge DPS loss?

If you're spamming builders in one macro you're losing probably 30% damage.
