I was wondering, how about moving 2 points from ambidextrous to Blade and fury? Is the 20% damage boost to Keen strike better than 6% extra dexterity ? Anyone here tried that?

I was just wondering the same thing. Could skip out on puncture bonuses, but that is prob more dps then the dex increase by a good bit.

I was also considering going deeper in BD and dropping RS for MM. Would be more like 27sin, 24bd, 15mm to maximize armor penetration skills. I think I'll test these all out tonight. I spent a few hours last night testing some higher sin specs, might as well continue tonight.

Dropping RS for MM means you will trade the incresed AP from Unseen Fury for a crit depending AP buff in MM tree . Also you will loose the AP buff from Annihilate finisher. So overall its an AP loss. You will gain instead 5% more dmg but only for single target, thus decreasing your AoE capability.
Then , for the the armor penetration you get in MM and NB, you will loose 4 gap closers. Three of them put you right on top of your target and 2 of them granting 2 combo points each, one of them being an AoE attack and all of them granting 15% crit chance and more important, 15% dmg. Also you will loose the dmg reflecting shield.
This being said, Im sure the AoE dmg will be lower, and even if ST dmg would be higher ( not sure though ) imo it is not worth it.

I wound up going 26/21/19 last night, but will probably just go 27/20/19. Just got to figure out optimum points in BD.

I am always thinking of ideas, most look great until you actually try them out.

Well, as far as BD the first 16 points are easy to place : you wiil want 5 in Blade finesse , 5 in Combat expertise, 3 in Deadly dance, 2 in Ambidextrous, and 1 in Blade Tempo. For a dps build, these seem to be the viable options so far in BD soul. Now for the last 3 points : CE or CC ? More attacks or armor penetration? Both?

Yesterday, for the first time i parsed over 4 k dps in an AoE trash fight In Hk, I was second to a mage in that fight - all other rogues in raid asked me what build I was using ( mind that I dont have any items from HK and only 3 pieces from Durnes rogue set, so I dont get the second AP bonus from BD crystal yet)

Off topic : while waiting for some guildies to arrive at Grug, I challenged the main warr tank to a duel ( he has tons of HP and all gear from T1 and Hk) and he told me : " nah, I;ve neved done pvp, dont know to fight in a duel " WTF??? not even one duel and he's been around for more than 6 months !!!

I use this build occasionally in my Guild's raids ....... fantastic to play and unexpected goooood Dps , even in st !
As a rogue player in other mmo's , Rift's "Rogue experience" is the best for me so far !

Im guessing you moved two points from physical trauma into combat culmination and is something like this :

It's an old spec from 1.5 that hasn't been updated because the OP has moved to star wars mmo.

15% armor reduction seems better than 20% extra damage to keen strike, especcially because we use 6 more skills for building combo points, so keen strike doesn't land so often.
Hoko will probably come back to Rift, I also left Rift for SWTOR , but I returned after 2 months.

Imo this build will be the winner for most movement fights, especially those with any adds at all since it has good aoe and very high single target. use the t1 BD crystal for this one and don't worry about getting the hk crystal.
